I awoke with a start, not remembering what I had dreamed about, which isn't very surprising. I stretch and stand up, darkness quickly clouding my vision for a few seconds before fading away. I look at the time and notice it's already 8:30 am. I quickly grab my brush and run it through my shoulder-length hair before pulling on my hood, just as a knock comes to my door, making me jump a bit. I get up and open the door to see Smiley there."Come on, Sky! Slendy made breakfast and if you don't hurry there will be no food left!" she says, grabbing my arm and dragging me to the dining room. When I get there, everyone looks up and looks at me and I stand there awkwardly before sitting in between Masky and Sally. Over-easy eggs, bacon, toast, and homefries are piled onto my plate and I give off a small smile before digging in. Jane speaks up. (She's good in this, but she and Jeff still have their arguments. Jane needs to be good once in a while, right?)
"So Sky. How long have you been looking for Smiley exactly?" I look at her.
"Three years," I say and shrug like it was no big deal. Everyone but Smiley stares at me in shock and I look at them. "What?"
"THREE YEARS!?" BEN exclaims, throwing his arms into the air. I nod. "If that were me I'd have given up after maybe a week!"
"Well I was determined to find my friend. In an anime I saw called Naruto Shippuden, a character named Orochimaru once said: 'When there is true desire in the heart and that desire is strong... That is when he finds real strength that even he did not know he had!' That gave me strength to keep going and find Smiley, even yesterday I was about to give up after three years but look where that got me." Sally giggles and I smile. I finish my food and stand up before turning to Slendy. "What should I do with my dishes?"
"Leave it there, child. I will take care of it later," Slendy says and I smile and nod. I walk into the living room and look at all the video games. I look over at BEN who walks in.
"Can I play Infamous 2?" I ask politely. He grins.
"Sure!" I take the game and put into the Playstation and grab a controller. I start the game and out of the corner of my eye I see Jeff, Masky, Hoody and Jane walk in and sit down to watch. BEN is already sitting to the right of me and Jeff sits down to the left of me.
After a half hour of questing and gaining new power I decide to have a bit of fun. I laugh and say, "Let the games begin!" I start jumping off rooftops and destroying everything around me when I land as I yell, "MASS DESTRUCTION!". Everyone in the room looks at me. "I used to do this all the time when I played this game." BEN laughs.
"I kinda do the same thing but I don't yell 'mass destruction' at the top of my lungs when I do it," he says and I stick my tongue out at him. I hand BEN the controller and stand up to stretch then walk around the house to find Sally. I knock on her bedroom door and hear a 'come in' so I open the door.
"Hey, Sally!" I smile at her as she grins and runs over to hug me. I kneel down to her height before she tackles me into a hug and knocks me over. I laugh and hug back.
"Are you here to play with me?" I nod.
"Of course! I was playing video games but I got bored and you were the first person I though of!" I say while tapping my finger to her nose. She giggles.
We ended up spending the entire day playing. Just me and Sally and I finally realize it's nighttime, and Sally yawns telling me she's ready for bed. I pick her up and gently place her in bed before pulling the sheets over her. I start to get up until I feel Sally grab my hand.
"Can you sing me a lullaby? Please?" she asks and I almost die of her cuteness! Yes I'm such a softy not only when it comes to little children, but to animals as well. I smile and nod before sitting next to her on her bed.
"What would you like me to sing?"
"Anything." I think a minute before smiling.
"Alright. This song isn't exactly a lullaby but it's one of my favorite songs. It's called God Syndrome by Madame Macabre(Ft Ashe)."
I take a deep breath before I start to sing.
"Lurking in the shady streets, hazy.
Wandering all on your own, crazy.
Thought you were the monster here, how sad.
Time to learn your place you're only just a lad.
Cast a thousand sins and one, have you?
Common boogeyman you are, it's true.
Let's see if you're all just bark, no bite.
Cowards like you always turn tail and take flight.
Why the good die and the cruel live (non nocent. Reddentes)
Injustice I cannot forgive
Don't play God you're no deity
Who pray tell will try to stop me?
Cut them down and make them holy
Forgiven on this ground solely
Bear no arms, I'll rip those from you
As a corpse no more harm you'll do
Some say that my work is wrong, wicked
But their train of thought is flawed, afflicted
For if they're to die tonight, poor taste
Might as well preserve their vitals , what a waste.
Don't look at me with those eyes, you've got
no one else to blame for your demise.
Think you'll catch my mercy now, really?
After all your crimes, beyond a doubt guilty.
Redemption redistribution (non nocent. Reddentes)
Sacrifice the institution
Your lifeblood beseech the other.
Even you can save another.
Cut them down and make them holy
Forgiven on these grounds solely
Bear no arms, I'll rip those from you
As a corpse no more harm you'll do
Now, say goodbye.
Feel no shame as you die, know that
At last you give back, may
judgment pass you by.
Cut them down and make them holy (x2)
Forgiven on these grounds solely
Bear no arms, I'll rip those from you
As a corpse no more harm you'll do
Cut them down and make them holy
Forgiven on these grounds solely
Bear no arms, I'll rip those from you
As a corpse no more harm you'll do
Now, say goodbye.
Feel no shame as you dieI finish the sing and look down at Sally who is now fast asleep. I smile and kiss her forehead before getting up and heading into my room and collapsing onto my bed and falling asleep, the same song playing softly in my head"~Jeff's P.O.V~
Sky had been playing with Sally all day and honestly I'm surprised how happy Sally is. I walk by Sally's room and hear Sally ask for Sky to sing her a lullaby."What would you like for me to sing?"
"Anything," Sally replies. There's a moment of silence before Sky speaks up again.
"Alright. This song isn't exactly a lullaby but it's one of my favorite songs. It's called God Syndrome by Madame Macabre(Ft Ashe)."
As soon as she starts singing, it takes my breath away. Even without the music of the song to aid her she has... Oh who am I kidding? She has a beautiful singing voice. THERE I SAID IT!
The song ends a minute or two later, signaling me leave to my room. I lay down on my bed and think about today. Why would anyone spend three years trying to find someone? Like BEN said, I'd give up probably after two weeks but this girl... She's strange.
