"Daddy, daddy, daddy." Gibbs heard the echo through the hallways, as he brought his pillow up to cover his head.
"The twin demons are awake." Jen hit him before watching the bedroom door open,
"Morning boys," Jen said as they climbed up on the bed, Jack laid on his dad's stomach as Jasper took his place in his place in his mom's lap
"Morning Mommy," they both kissed her cheek. Jenny looked at them before looking at Jethro, who still has his head covered up by the pillow, she counted to three on her fingers and they all threw themselves on top of him, hearing him grown.
"This means war." With that the two young Gibbs children were thrown down on the bed, laughing hysterically at their father.
Jack leaned up and kissed his cheek, "Love you Daddy." He said before his brother did the same
"Now Jethro, how can you say no to so many innocent faces?" she stuck her bottom lip out at him
"You know what...you guys are lucky you're cute." He said as he kissed their heads, "Why don't you guys go downstairs and find some cartoons and me and mommy will get ready for breakfast?"
"SpongeBob...."
"No Jasper, Scooby-Doo."
Jenny laughed at her boys as they raced each other down the hall, "Jethro, are you okay?" She asked him noticing that he was rubbing his shoulder.
"Yea, just a little sore from last night,"
"What, can't you keep up anymore, or are you getting a little too old?" she smiled at him
"Funny Jen, but not exactly what I meant."
"I know, but seriously, are you okay?" she asked as she took her hand a lightly rubbed it over the slightly swollen place on his left shoulder
"Yea I will be I'm just not as young as I used to be."
She smiled, she could tell he still wasn't quite sure what had gone on during the explosion last night, and she wasn't sure that she or he wanted to know.
She watched him get out of bed, walking to the dresser in only his boxers. She knew for his age, he had a very nice body, she was sure that she could think his job for that. He pulled out a pair of jeans and a black shirt that simply said NCIS. He walked back over, leaned down and kissed her cheek, "You want pancakes for breakfast?"
She looked up at him and nodded, "Would love them," she smiled as she watched him walk away. She could still see the tension that he held on his face and throughout his body. But if she knew one thing about Leroy Jethro Gibbs, it was when he wanted to talk, he would talk, but until then, she would sit back, enjoy her life, and his pancakes.
