Its been 3 long days since the Taylor's let Y/n and Lily stay with them. They were both happy that they got a break from their drunk abusive father, though Y/n had to worry about what will happen once they return home.

The swelling in her ankle went down and looks normal, she got most of her missing work done and her grades went up thanks to Eliza and the rest of Eliza's friends.

It was the 4th day, the girls have been staying at the Taylor's house. Today was the day Y/n was gonna talk to Abby about going home.

Y/n opened her eyes, she groaned when the sunlight stung her groggy blue eyes. She sighed, as her eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight that peeked in through the window.

She was dreading to get up, she didn't want to talk about going home. If she keeps, playing off about going home, they'll suspect she doesn't want to go home. She sighed at the thought and pulled herself into a sitting position.

She looked behind her to find the left side of the bed empty, she furrowed her eyebrows and pushed the blankets off her lights and put her feet on the floor, she stood up and walked to brown wooden dresser. She looked in the body mirror.

She looked at the scars on her stomach, she has gotten from her father couple years ago. She opened the dresser and pulled out a black tanktop with a white hoodie and a pair of blue jeans.

She quickly changed and put on her socks and shoes before she brushed her messy brunette hair. She opened the white door and walked out, heading to the stairs, she walked down the steps and went into the living, which was empty.

She walked into the noise kitchen, she saw Lily at the table eating a plate of pancakes and eggs with some sausage. She smiled at the sight of lily's growing smile at the Eliza, Lindsay, Marie and Jake sitting around with her.

She sneaks up behind Lily and warps her arms around, "I got a little bug!" She said in a singing voice, causing Lily to squeal and giggle. "A bubble got me!" Lily replied in a singing voice back, the others at the table chuckled.

Y/n smiled as she let the small girl go and walked to her side, she looked down fondly at the brunette child. She was happy to see the girl not living in fear, to see a smile on the girls face.

Abby came from the pantry, "ah, good morning Y/n." She said, with a smile. Y/n looked at her and smiled a tight smile back. "Good morning to you aswell, abby."

"How's your ankle?" Eliza asked.

"Its good, I think its good enough to head home and head back to work, also school." Y/n relied, trying her hide disappointed. Lily smile drops that caused Y/n's heart to drop. Abby's smile dropped aswell but kept a small one on, also trying to hide her disappointed.

"I see, well if you need any help let us know." Abby said, nodded a bit. Her voice dropping a bit, y/n sighed mentally as she nodded back at the women.

After a few hours, Y/n and lily left the Taylor's household. They started the walk home, finally feeling the worst of going home. The twisting stomach, the beating heart, the shaking hands.

Once they finally arrived at the place they call hell, they walked in to find their father in the kitchen. He turned with the same scowl on his face, "where the hell have you two been?" He sneered, angrily.

"W-we stayed at a friend's house for a couple days." Y/n stuttered out, slowly pushing lily up the stairs.

"For 3 days?! Do they know!!?" James roared, stepping into the hallway from the kitchen in the rundown home directly infront of the girls.

"N-No!" Y/n yelled back, flinching at the steps he took closer to the girls. James's scowl seemed to grow a bit.

"Good," James said, taking a swig of his whiskey bottle. Lily ran up the stairs quietly as she could. James stepped closer to y/n and backhanded her cheek, causing her to fall on the floor. "You are a pathetic bitch!" He roared as he begin to kick her in her stomach over and over, that'll cause a black and blue bruise.

He kept kicking as he began to punched the girl, y/n did her best to cover her face. Once he was done, he walked off and sat on the couch, "get to your room and I don't want to hear a peep."

Y/n coughed as she scrambled on to her feet, holding her bruising stomach. She pushed herself up the stairs and into lily's room. Lily sat on the mattress, looking at her sister worriedly once she came through the door.

"Im okay, bugs. Its not bad." Y/n says, Lily teared up. Y/n had blood coming from a cut on her lip, her cheek was a red handprint she had gotten when he backhanded her. She couldn't image how bad her sister's stomach feels.

For the next few hours, Lily and Y/n stayed in Lily's room talking and hanging out being quiet as possible.

The day ended normally, Lily and Y/n both got their baths and y/n stole food from their kitchen so they could eat something before bed.

"Goodnight bugs." Y/n says, placing a soft loving kiss on lilys forehead before she turned and walked to the door.

"Hey bubble?" Lily called out, before sitting up. Y/n stopped at the door, turning around to face her little sister.

"What is it bugs?" Y/n relied.

"Why does daddy hate us? Did we do something wrong?" Lily asked, as her voice sounded low and broken, more broken then Y/n has ever heard lily sound before that broke her own heart.

Y/n walked to the bed, she sat down and held Lily's hands. "Look at me." She said, Lily looked up at Y/N, connecting their eyes.

"I don't know why he hates us, but I want you to know how much I love you, I don't care about whatever happens, you are important to me. You are my bugs, I love you." Y/n said, warping her arms around Lily, keeping her close to her as much as possible.

"Can you sleep with me tonight sissy?" Lily asked, looking at Y/n with pleading eyes. Y/n smiled a sad smile and nodded at her. She got up and walked over to the door, she shut and locked the bedroom door before walking back to the bed and sliding in behind lily and warps an overprotective arm around her.

"Goodnight my little bug."

"Goodnight bubble."
