The next morning, Y/n woke up to find Lily gone. She begin to panic, her heart begin to beat fast as her breathing became heavy.

She jumped out of bed and hurried downstairs, her eyes widen once she stepped into the living room.

There was lily, laying on the floor weakly, beaten and bruised. Y/n felt like her heart had fallen down to her stomach once she had found lily in the state she was in, she sped up her pace to lily, and placed the broken girl on her lap.

"L-Lily?" Y/n sobbed, trying to wake up the small girl. Lily went into a coughing fit as she opened her eyes.

"N-No hospital, i-im okay." Lily squeaked out, wincing and tearing up at the pain she felt.

After a few weeks, Y/n doubled her time with school, events and work with Lily close by her side. Lily made a good recovery, as much as she wanted to take lily to the hospital nor how many times, lily always convinced her she was fine, that she didn't need to go.

Y/n walked into the diner, wearing her grounder diner uniform holding lily's hand. Once she had walked in, the Taylor family and some of their friends sat at one of the tables.

The bags under y/n's eyes were pretty much noticeable, she put lily in an empty booth with a coloring book and some colored pencils before she went to the back and checked in and grabbed a notepad and a pencil, she walked the the taylor family.

"Hello, my name is Y/n, ill be your server today, can I take your drinks?" Y/n said, Abby looked up at the girl, she smiled, then frowned once she saw the bags under her eyes.

"Hey Y/N, where's lily?" Madi asked cheerily, y/n smiled before she pointed at lily in the empty booth.

"Bring her over, we haven't got to see you guys in a bit. We would love to visit her," Jake said, smiling. Y/n nodded and walked over to lily, she picked the small girl up and grabbed lilys bag and walked back over at the big busy table.

Lily smiled once she saw them, especially Madi and Eden. Y/n places Lily down beside Madi and Eden who were fighting which one was gonna sit by Lily, to the point where Abby told them Lily could sit in the middle of them.

"Sissy, im hungry." Lily said, looking up at Y/n from the chair. Y/n sighed, she went to her purse and checked how much money she had. Only 24 dallors, she walked back to Lily.

"I got some money, what would you like?" She said to Lily, Eliza and Alyica looked over at them sympathetically.

"I'll pay for yalls food, don't worry about it Y/n." Abby said.

"What? No no, its quite alright." Y/n said, trying to dismiss the thought and offer of the women buying for their food, but once again, it was like talking to a brick wall.

"Y/n!" A man yelled, Y/n and Lily flinched. It was noticed by the group of people at the table. The man walked out of the kitchen doors, he was the owner of the store.

"How about a song?" He asked, smiling. He was a kind man, he loved the songs Lily and Y/n sing together. Sometimes Y/n would perform without Lily, most of the time they would perform together.

It was the purest thing in the world, it caused the diner to go up in sells. Alot of people came by just to watch the girl's performances.

"Of course," Y/n said with a smile before she looked at lily, "are you joining me for this one?" She asked her little sister, Lily smiled and nodded at the girl, causing her sister to smile.

The people who were watching heart melted at the sister's interaction, they never melt a pair of sister's who had a strong bond like they did.

Lily got out of her seat, she grabbed Y/n's hand as they begin to walk toward the small stage that was infront of the little diner, Y/n helped lily up onto it before she got on the stage herself.

On the stage, there was a piano and one guitar. Y/n looked eyed the piano before she eyed the guitar as she weighted her options. Lily pointed to the piano, Y/n smiled and walked over to the piano.

Y/n sat at the bench and moved some of her brunette hair out of her face as she took a deep breathe, calming her nerves as she begin to play a soft tune.

Y/n smiled at lily as she narrowed her eyes at the younger girl, Lily smiled back at her sister. The one person she could hold the world with, the one person she held hand and hand with.

The group at the table was watching them, most were wide eyed expect for the teens who go to the girls school. Abby teared up as she thought about her dear friend, who died.

She thinks Y/ns beautiful singing sounds so much like her, like it wasn't really y/n singing, but it was her. Lily, The two girl's mother.

Whenever it gets gray, you know I'll be there.

And everyday I pray, that I'll be right there.

There's nothing more to say expect, I'll be there, next to you.

If they weren't shocked before, Lily's beautiful singing that matched her sister's shocked them to their core. Abbys tears doubled as she heard the other girls singing.

Yeah, your smile is all I wanna see tonight, being with you, it just brings me back to life.

[Y/n]

And all I wanna do is hold you tight, if that's alright, we'll be alright.

[Lily]

My happiness is like a beam of light, flying through the sky just like a kite.

Lilys eyed shined as she sung with her older sister, everyone's heart melted at the sight of the sisters.

[Y/n]

[Both]

We'll be alright.

Lily looked up at her sister with a smirk, as she sung the next lyric causing her older sister to roll her eyes at her.

[Lily]

Even when you're wrong, you know I'll be here.

It caused others to chuckle and break a smile as they watched them, Alyica and Eliza noticed the tears filling up Y/n's eyes and got their mother's attention, they frowned, but soon understood why.

[Y/n]

I'm trying to be strong, but I am still here.

Lily grabbed Y/n's hand, looking up at her with an encouraging smile that Y/n smiled.

[Lily]

The days are getting long but im right here, next to you.

[Y/n]

Even when it's rough, you know I'll be there.

The music came to a stop as the crowd begin to cheer and clap for the girls that caused them to giggle.

Y/n and Lily walked off the stage, and back to the table to the Taylor's family.

"Y/n, when was the last time you got any sleep?"
