Yet another day you survived.
You sighed. You were standing outside the Scout HQ building. It was late. How much late you didn't know. Normally you would've been asleep by now. But tonight, you weren't feeling a bit of sleepy. And it was a fine weather outside. The moon was out and the sky was clear. Not everyday you get the chance to look up at the sky and just breathe.
Well... maybe you had that chance.
You weren't exactly very much of use in the Levi squad. In fact, you weren't of use at all. You sometimes wonder how you even got in the Levi squad along with Eren and the others.
Maybe because the others recommended you to the Captain and the Commander. And maybe the only reason was that because you got along with every single person in the 104th Cadet Corps.
That's it.
That was the only thing you were good at. Getting along with everyone.
Maybe that was the reason you got in Squad Levi. You were just an extra.
“Cadet Y/L/N?”
You got startled as you heard a familiar voice saying your name. You move your head to the right and see Commander Erwin Smith walking towards you.
Yikes!!!
“C-Commander,” you say standing properly. “What are you doing here out this late? Everyone else is in their bunks if I'm correct,” he said. “I - uh..” You didn't know what to say. You didn't have a good excuse so you proceed to say the truth. “I.. couldn't sleep.. heh,” you say rubbing the back of your neck. “I see...”
“Wanna go for a ride then?” “Eh?” You weren't sure if you heard him correctly. “Come with me” “W-Where Commander?” “To the stables. We're going to go for a midnight stroll.” “Now??” you ask.
Your heartbeat went up. You were nervous and didn't understand what he was saying.
“Yes now. No one's around except those on night duty. Don't worry you won't get caught by Levi or any of the others. Levi is in his room.”
You and Erwin went to the stables to get his horse, which you got but, you were confused. Why did he ask you to come with him? You couldn't understand a thing.
“Get on Y/N,” Erwin said to you. “My horse isn't in this stable Commander” “I'm not talking about your horse.”
You looked at Erwin. Visible confusion on your face.
“Get on my horse. You sit on the front, I'll sit behind you.”
What???
You were completely dumbfounded. You didn't know what to reply to this. Your body seemed to froze a little. What is happening? You thought to yourself.
“Y/N, get on the horse please,” Erwin said in a soft voice which made you more nervous.
Not saying a word, you got on his horse and saw him as he got on behind you.
Your face turned red. The distance between you both was so little that you could almost smell his scent. He smelled a bit like honey.
