Chiang Mai.
Saint fiddled with his fringe in front of his vanity mirror. He pinched his cheeks to give them some color before sighing heavily. He went to grab his coat in the closet before going downstairs to say goodbye to Phu.
Saint could hear his son's laughter before he even enter the kitchen. He smiled when he saw Phu's back in his chair eating his favourite pancake, his hair in unruly mess. Miriam was doing dishes smiling at him when she noticed. Saint approached Phu slowly before covering his eyes with his palms.
Phu shrieked putting down his spoon before gripping at his hands. "Mummy!" he shouted grinning widely.
Saint smiled kissing his cheeks which sticky from the maple syrup he drenched his pancakes with. Saint shook his head fondly before taking his seat beside his son. He thanked Miriam when she asked about his breakfast. He shook his head feeling too nervous to inhale anything.
"Where you go Mummy?" Phu asked tilting his head adoringly. His ringlets bounced along.
"To settle things with your father."
"I'm going to meet my friend Boo" He said smiling at him. "So can you be a good boy and listen to Miriam for me?"
"Imma good boy Mummy" Phu exclaimed widening his jade-colored eyes in seriousness.
"Sure baby boo." Saint agreed smiling at his son.
Saint parked his car near the restaurant entrance, a higher escape chance for him if anything to happen. He entered the busy but cosy diner looking for Perth. He stopped in his track when he saw Perth sitting near a table beside the wall. Perth chose a secluded area hidden by a large pillar. He was wearing a grey hoodie and his brown fur coat hanging behind his chair. Saint breathed shakily before stepping forward. Perth never failed to make him nervous. He stopped in front of the table making the taller man stopped his reading when he noticed Saint.
"You came." Perth said before standing up, a hint of shocked relief passed his expression.
"I do." Saint nodded. Lips thinned in a straight line.
"Have a sit." He said gesturing to a chair in front of Saint.
Saint shrugged his coat before hanging it behind the chair aware of Perth's not so subtle scrutiny on him. He cleared his throat before sitting down.
Perth was about to say something when a waiter approached them to take their order.
"Warm water," Saint said to her.
Perth frowned at him. "You should try their signature baked eggs."
"No thanks," Saint cut him.
"Saint, you should eat something. I'm sure you haven't had your breakfast yet"
"Yorkshire tea, bag out. A cup of cappuccino and two sets of baked eggs." Perth ordered straight and clear. Even while ordering foods he emitted dominating aura.
Saint scowled in his seat. Perth and his control freaks.
"How are you?" Perth asked him after the waiter left with their orders
"As you can see." Saint shrugged his shoulders.
"I want to apologize." Perth said clearly.
"For what?" He asked in confusion.
Perth had the audacity to look ashamed. "About last night," he explained. "I shouldn't have done that. It was out of control and I'm seriously sorry about it." He explained sincerely.
"Oh," Saint blushed remembering the chaos the night before. He cleared his throat. "I want to apologize too since I was the one who's been avoiding you to talk, to sort things out."
