China Smith is young working professional trying to establish her mobile massage business through out Prince George's County Maryland area. Due to the pandemic, business had begin to slow down it and she grew concerned each and every minute.
Would she be able to survive during the pandemic? Could she maintain her clientele, let alone build a brand. She had just began business at the end of 2019. "What if it tanks," she thought. But she knew she could not focus on all the aspects of her career that were going wrong, for that would change nothing.
Deep down she believed she should keep going.
"China, I'm just concerned for you. Don't you think you should go back into the office and get some work while everything has slowed down during the pandemic? I just don't want you to fall behind on your rent, on life. You've worked so hard!"
"I know mama, I completely understand and I see where you're coming from. I just don't want to go back to that office, where they talk to me however they please. It's just not a good environment. I mean my boss gave me $0.25 raise and told me I should be so thankful to him. I just can't do it. I will make a way, mama."
"That''s my girl. You've always been stubborn in all the right ways. Well me and your dad have a date tonight, so I'll talk at cha later. Bye baby!"
"Okay, love you mom. Give dad a kiss for me."
After hanging up, China just stared out the large glass window of her apartment, appreciating the view while the waning sun shone on the lake, praying she was right. She always longed to have her own living space and she worked so hard to get here. She would not let this virus hold her back.
She posted to her business IG account which she had not done in a while. If she wanted to build, she had to maintain a social media presence. 90% of business comes through social media anyways.
"Alright , here goes." She thought as she posted on IG and went to sleep.

"Okay Chase. You're doing well on your program, your firing off well and flexibility is improving. However, I want you to incorporate some massage therapy into your routine. How often do you get massage?"
"Coach, I don't like massages, never have. You see how lit I am, it's so hard for me to relax."
"I hear you big guy, but listen. I see you winning defensive rookie of the year, but you won't get there unless your recovery routine is solidified. It's just as important as performing well on the big days. I tell this to all my guys." Coach Rivera strongly persuaded Chase in the midst of the other athletic trainers in the locker room.
"Okay, I hear you. I'm going to take the advice sir."
"I want you to have a plan by Monday. Today is Saturday- get to work!" Coach Rivera said as he walked away and back to his office. Chase absolutely hated massages but knew coach meant business and what he saying wasn't wrong.
Alright let me do some research, Chase thought as he sat in his locker space in the locker room. Everyone was showering and getting ready to exit the facility after a long day at practice.
He searched #DMVmassage on Instagram and became overwhelmed with all of the options that populated his search. After scrolling and scrolling, he came across MaxRecoveryMobile Massage located in the DMV area.
"Oh they can come to me. Damn, she's fine too. Lets try this one." Chase thought aloud, as he bookmarked the page and sent a DM. Next thing you know, a towel was thrown at him and he looked up to smiling Terry McLaurin. "Bro, who are you talking to over here?"
"Nothing man, just booking a massage. Trying to get on this recovery bandwagon, coach is on me heavy about it. What's up with you?" Chase asked his spirited teammate.
"Same, not much but listen if you like the massage let me know cause I need a new person!" Terry said biting into an apple, looking down at his phone. "Damn is that the masseuse?" He said trying to grab Chase's phone out of his hands.Chase pushed him away and laughed, while checking his phone, being greeted with more text messages from a new wave of family and friends than he would like to have to read. His phone has began blowing up 20x more after entering the NFL. He knew this is what came with the territory. But that took a back seat as he packed up his stuff and went home to see his family, hoping to get some rest.

China thought she was going crazy as she looked down at her phone walking to her car from the store, noticing that one of her favorite athletes and hometown heroes just started following her. She threw her groceries in the back seat of her Nissan Rogue and quickly settled in the driver's seat to focus on her phone.
"Hold up, is this real?" She said aloud scrolling to her notifications. Once she saw the blue check, an incredible smile graced her face.
Going to start off slow, but we will get there. Let me know what you all think! Btw, isn't Chase super handsome? Vote & Comments welcome <3
