"These massages turn into therapy sessions" Chase said laughing, as the key to the front door turned, summoning a door slam afterwards.
"Babe, I didn't know you were having company." China heard a soft, yet agitated voice say as it approached closer to the side room where they were. Chase lifted his head.
"Oh, you're here early baby. Meet China. My new masseuse. Helping me stay in good condition during the season. China, this is my girlfriend Sophie."
"Nice to meet you, Sophie." China said looking towards her and smiling, only to be greeted with disgusted look, that quickly turned into a smile once she realized China saw her. Chase, of course, couldn't see this, being faced down on the massage bed.
After the massage, Chase got up and stretched his arms and hugged China. Sophie was hot on his heels.
"Thank you boss lady for the massage. I'll hit you up later on to schedule for next time." Sophie lodged herself up under Chase's arm, placing her hand on his chest. Her way of marking her territory. She looked China in the eyes intently and China met her gaze to let her know she wasn't intimidating her at all.
"Alright, Chase take care and do those stretches we talked about."
She could already tell Sophie would be a problem, but really didn't want any parts of it. Doing her job and making her money was her top concern.
"You know you should really let me know when you're having women in your home. Chase, you're in the big league now and have to be careful who you keep company with."
"Sophie don't start this with today. I just had a nice massage & I'm trying to relax. There's no room for your jealousy today."He said walking away from her and to the refrigerator to grab a bottle of water.
"You never take me serious do you? Would you be okay with me having a guy over my apartment?"
"You're wildin' out right now. You don't think I know that Jake, your "study partner" has been over your apartment multiple times?" Chase said placing study partner in air quote with his fingers.
"That's not fair! You know he was there for a reason!" Sophie said yelling, while following Chase up the steps to his bedroom. "We only studied, Chase!"
"And China was here for a reason. A massage. I'm taking a shower and I'm not discussing this again tonight."Chase said leaving Sophie standing by herself. He loved her for sure, she helped him a lot at Ohio state when they first met, but she was very jealous and insecure when it came to their relationship. He tried to give her a pass since he knew how much his career and the distance added a strain and a layer of uncertainty.

"How's our babygirl doing?" China's mom asked, as she took her coat off for Sunday night dinner at her parent's house.
"I'm good, mommy. It smells good in here! Where's daddy?"
"Chile, your father has bought a new motorcycle. He's probably in the garage, shining it for the umpteenth time today." China hugged her mom and walked out to the garage to greet her father."Hey, Daddy" she said smiling, while walking over to her father who was indeed occupied with shining his eye catching bike. "This is nice! When did you get this?"
"Just yesterday. A new retirement gift! How's my babygirl?" Her father, kissed her on her forehead. "I'm great, daddy. I've got a new client. A local athlete!"
"Who?" Her father's eyes perked up as he was a huge sports fan, especially football.
"Rookie- Defensive end!" China said, giving her dad some clues.
