Two weeks after Vals disappearance the investigation had started. We lived in a small area so when people heard she disappeared it startled everyone because no one knew what happened to her. I was the only one there, but the cops told us to not leave our house and to do schooling from home but I was desperate to find you. While I was working on my studies an idea appeared in my head, what if I go into the woods? Could I possibly find you again? But then there is a con if I go back there is a chance I could be taken as well I don't want to take the chance but I have to! It's the only way I will ever be able to find you again! It's final by 6 pm. I will go out and look for you no matter how risky it gets.

After many hours, finally, it's six o'clock.

I wonder, is mother awake? I Tippie toe to her room hoping to not be heard as she could wake up to the tiniest creak in the wood, thankfully she was asleep. I quickly put my shoes on and left the house. I noticed two cops standing at the corner of the street. I had to be discrete about this and not get caught as this is my only way of saving Val! I run behind the bushes hoping to not be seen. That's when I heard a voice saying "Over there! there is a kid in the bushes!!" I ran as if my life depended on it until I felt a grab at my ankle next thing I knew I was being dragged across the field by some sort of monster! my heart was racing 100 miles a minute! Millions of thoughts flooded my head, Could this be the way I'd die!?? No, is this the creature who took val? I got a glimpse of the creature. It looked like an octopus but tall and skinny, a white figure with no face. I couldn't believe what I was seeing! I hadn't noticed but I was bleeding badly! Blood was everywhere it was hard to keep my eyes open as it had felt like my eyelids were being weighed down before I passed out I heard someone scream "Zoe!! Hold on I will be there soon!". My eyes shut pitch black I had passed out.
