     Josephine wanders the halls of the estate at night when she can't sleep. It's fun to explore when there are no watchful eyes on her, when the servants are asleep in bed and when her husband is locked away in his study. She's now lady of the manor and she still feels like she's sneaking around, terrified of being caught.

     The floorboards occasionally creek under her step, makes her pause when she hears the sound echo. And always, always she stops for just a moment to look up at the large portrait still hanging above the staircase, the one he refuses to take down. His late wife, the woman he loved and the woman Jo finds herself competing with even now, staring down at her every time Jo attempts to walk past. She shouldn't feel jealous. She shouldn't feel anything. After all, Tommy never wanted Jo in the first place.
