Rubellite's POV

Amethyst 8xm decided to take me back to their 'place' since it was getting late and i had no place to go. The 'little homeschool' or the structure with the mill also had no room available to accomodate me, 8xm said.

We passed through a city of humans, vastly different from the ones they made in the past. I couldn't believe how much their colonies had changed while i was gone, albeit slowly and not as developed as in homeworld... even then its strangely attractive..

On the way we talked about lots of things like the stuff i used to do back in era-1, research and work...something a peridot would say but thats fine, she seemed to be having fun anyway. Amethyst was laughing her 'ass off' beside me. Still thinking it was funny i got stuck under some rock for who knows how long, only to be found by her 'sis' and ended up running around the outskirts of little homeschool.

'Man these new world words are so confusing!'

"Oh man! Your killing me rul!" Her laughter was contagous and caused me to laugh along with her, "'rul' what a ridiculous name, i told you to call me rube..!" I huffed jokingly, i soon felt an odd cushioning under my feet causing me to jump back "WOAH! 8xm! 8xm!" I yelped.

" hey! its not that bad also its called a 'nickname' grandma" amethyst turned to me still giggling but i was genuinly terrified. "And whats up with '8xm'? Its just amethyst granny >□<;"she paused, i nodded in confusion though not really knowing what granny is.

"Chill out ruli! Its just sand" amethyst explained and i calmed down enough to bend down to touch the 'sand' "ooooh" the texture captivated me, reminding me of dust and rock diposites back in beta kindergarten but in a big heep of empty land literally made of it. "Oh dang, you really are a caveman huh?" Amethyst crouched down next to me. I just stare at her amazed, holding the sand in both my hands. "Well we need to get going! You can roll around in that tomorrow but for now, come on!"

Amethyst grasped my arm tightly, pulling me along with her as she ran into a direction deeper inside this 'beach' just behind the huge mountain that sloped down to the human city. A beautiful fusion shaped stone statue decorated its front, and a couple houses placed below.

"Amethyst this is beautiful!" I awed, "oh this junk? Yeah its been here for a longgg time" the purple quartz seemed disinterested at the statue though i can tell she was still happy with the compliment. "Here we are!" Amethyst let go of my hand to gesture to the wood house a little ways up the beach, connected with a plank staircase.

We both went up, amethyst taking the lead since i was still abit sheepish to enter a strangers home with who knows how many residents. "Rul! Get your butt here already! A big scary monster eats gems down there especially at night!" Amethyst said seriously and i had no choice but to climb up the wood stairs in a fit of adrenaline.

"BWAHHAHHA!" Amethyst bursts out in laughter with tears in her eyes, "Oh MAN, you should totally see the look on you face!" Amethyst giggles and i glare as she wipes of her tears. "Thats not funny.." i scolded, annoyed at the small purple amethyst who just grinned at my words.

"Amethyst? Amethyst! Is that you?" Shouted a person inside the wood cabin.

"Yeah! and i brought someone!" Amethyst shouted back, gesturing me to follow into the house "is that one of your--" the person inside turned to face me, she was a thin gem holding some sort of object in her hands. Then the gems eyes landed on mine, mouth agape before dropping the object she was holding, causing it to shatter on the floor.

i also completely froze, eyes wide as i squeaked at---

"PEARL?!"
