"Where are we heading?" Callie asked while looking at me with helpless eyes.
"Somewhere safe," I answered shortly while observing everybody.
"Where is that exactly?" Adam asked. A lot of them are watching me, while some are just sleeping. We are all tired and exhausted from all the shits the government had put us through.
"Safe place, huh? Does that even exists nowadays?" Brielle questioned and looked at me doubtfully.
"Long story. I'll tell you once we get there. Now, rest. Don't waste your energy. You'll need it." I continued my observation. I can't let a single interference slip.
"Need it from what? From you? Yeah right! Because maybe you're the terrorist! Come on, people! Think! How can an 18-year-old weirdo see this coming? Huh?" Allie stood up and then shouted at me. This is not a surprise at all, considering her attitude. Impulsive and stupid.
"You think I'm the terrorist? Fine. L stop the bus, we'll leave this girl here. Or do you want me to send you back to school with those assholes because you're acting like a freaking bitch?" I said calmly, then walked into her seat and looked straight into her eyes. Let's see how long you can continue this act.
"Sure! Drop us off! It's much better than staying with you. Who's coming with me?" She asked, but no one responded.
"Come on, guys! Are you all fucking dumb?" Still, everyone remained quiet.
"Jess? Riley? Steven?" She called out her friends' names, but they just ignored it.
"Don't be stupid, Allie. Do you know what will happen to you if we leave you here? We're already a hundred kilometers away from the city, which means we're in the dead zone. Do you really think it is still under the government's supervision? You either get robbed, raped, murdered, or maybe all of the above. Do you want me to stop the bus? Your call. " Everyone knows about this place, and I am sure as hell that they are all afraid of it. I don't even need to ask them since their facial expressions say it all.
"You know what, Trinity? Fuck you!" She sat down and looked away. I smirked at her response. Not so tough now, huh?
"Whoever wants to get off this bus, raise your hand; I will not stop you. Remember that I didn't force anyone to come with me. If you want to stay, keep your mouth shut and rest." No one said a word.
"L proceeds to phase five of the plan. Connect me to others right now." I ordered L, who was busy driving.
"How's the plan going?" I spoke on the phone.
"All Good, V. Get my price ready, will you? And oh, by the way, you didn't tell me that you have a gorgeous schoolmate over here." I1 reported. Mixing work with playtime again. I really need to teach him a lesson.
"She won't be interested in an old man, so calm your ass down. Hearing your voice alone is already freaking disgusting." But on second thought, we have G to educate him—no need to worry.
"Said by the old lady drooling over a grade 10 student. I didn't know you are a pedophile, G." I1 reckoned.
"Shut up, you two. Tell me the situation in your area." Or maybe it is better to separate the two? When will they act according to their age? They are all always behaving like naughty kids.
"All men are down, V. No casualties. We started prosecuting phase 5." I can hear them driving over the phone. I picked up the telescope and went on the back part of the bus. I sighed when I got a sight of them.
"Alright, good. E is there any danger around the premises?" No one can meddle with our mission. But if it ever fails, we have hundreds of backup plans. I prepared for this for years and thought of every possible loophole that could destroy our sacrifices and probably lose this battle. But losing is not in my dictionary, not when the lives of thousands of people are at stake.
