Owen Grady x Hybrid Raptor.

Chapter 2

Hunter POV

2 years has pasted since i hatched, the others hatched a week after me, they didn't like me very much since they could tell i wasn't exactly like them.

Over the 2 years the park trusted me and allowed me to walk around the park freely helping people find their children/parents or simply being an attraction, i would spend, most of my time at the raptor pen, since Owen always needed my help to keep the others in check.

Owen was the Alpha, i was the Beta, Blue was the Delta, Charlie and Delta were the Omegas, we were a pack a family, even if i was the runt out of the raptors. I often got into fights with them, since they always tried to assert dominance but i normally always ended up winning.

I was currently in the raptors pen with the others running through the small forest after a pig, but just as we got to the open area we heard a click and someone say "Hold!" It was Owen! I immediately stopped and barked at the others making them also pay attention but of course Blue tried to be rebellious, and the others followed snapping at Owen as he shouted from the catwalk.
"Blue. Blue!" Blue growled at him "HEY! Watch it!" He pointed at her clicking the clicker. Charlie was starting to get more violent "Charlie do- HEY! Don't give me that shit!" Delta also following her sisters actions got called out "Delta. Lock it up!" Delta gave a small grumble before doing so. Owen looked at me and smiled "Good girls!" He shouted "And.... were moving" he started to move to the other side, our eyes trained on him as we moved along with him giving chirps and snarls. "Thats's good that's damn good!" He put his hand in the treat bucket and we looked at him intently "See Charlie that's what you get." He threw the meat at her, then to Delta then Blue and said "Go" of course i knew he only meant them and stayed watching him "Come on up!" He shouted and i walked backwards before running forwards and landing on the catwalk "GOOD GIRL!" He threw me a piece of meat "Thank you Owen." And he nodded, everyone clapped even the new boy who was terrified as he saw me on the cat walk.

But of course Vic had to come and destroy the fun. "Owen!" The stupid fat man shouted "i was starting to think i had the wrong guys but damn you got them eating out of your palm." He laughed and i rolled me eyes, i stood by Owen protectively wrapping my tail around him, Owen responded and took Vics hand and shook it "You came on a good day not always a happy ending." I gave a roar in agreement "Who's this?" He stretched his hand to stroke me but i snapped at it and wrapped my tail tighter around Owen "Hunter." Vic stared in shock when he heard me talk "i heard there was a raptor that could talk but i didn't think it was true." He laughed and put his hand down, going back to the conversation he was having with Owen "But is that why you haven't been sending me reports?" Barry came up behind me and stroked my head "We have been busy." He said joining the convo "Not busy enough to be able to cash your checks huh?" He did some weird movement, Owen looked at me and i nodded, i knew he wanted me to leave since this conversation was going to turn into a topic i wasn't going to like. I jumped down from the catwalk and layed down in the sun, taking in the heat. I could just hear Hoskins talking about some field test and making us into a weapon, which annoyed me, i got up and walked around aimlessly, but i did stay close to Owen just in case Hoskins did somethin stupid but my attention was immediately diverted when i heard a yelp and a grunt, someone entered my territory and they definitely weren't Owen, i turned my head and saw that the other four were already herding the boy, so i joined them. My territory was the only place that i would kill someone without an order unless i was stopped by Owen... maybe Barry, i liked Barry.

The boys back hit the wall near the gate and then we heard a buzzing sound, i could hear Owens voice in the background "No. Hold your fire! Put 12 amps in these animals and they will never trust me again!" He ran in front of the boy and took out the clicker, i had already calmed by the site of Owen but the others not so much, i walked to Owens side snapping at the others, Charlie and Delta had backed up but Blue kept advancing "Blue back off!" I barked at Blue "ha, make me 'Beta'" she hissed at me "Are you challenging me?" I scoffed, Blue gave a roar and said "yes" Owen and the boy made it out, so it was safe to go all out with Blue.

She advanced for my neck, sinking her jaws in, i shook my head violently but she still clinged on, so i turned around making the side that she was on face a wall, then i rammed in it once. Twice. Just as i was about to do it the third time she let go and spoke "Ok ok, i give in!" I nodded and walked to the gate where Owen was still sitting watching the whole fiasco, he opened a special door, which allowed me to exit to the other side. He ran up to me and hugged me, i rested my head on his shoulder and cooed he turned around "Ever wonder why there was a job opening?" He said to the boy, his eyes widened when he looked at me "W-why isn't it in there with the o-others?" His eyes still on me.

To be honest it was starting to annoy me "She is the most domestic one." The boy looked at Owen as if he was crazy but just let it go, he got up and walked away. "This is what i mean a bond between man and beast, he defended your honour." "SHE wasn't protecting my honour she was challenged for the roll of beta."

Owen POV

This guy was unbelieveable, i was finally able to make progress with all the raptors and now he wanted to put my Raptors to fight war. At this point i give up and brush pushed past him, Hunter close behind me.

She had a pretty bad wound on her neck which i would have to check when we got to the bungalow. I hopped on to my bike, Hunter by my side already lowering her body, she looked at me and i smirked "Hold..... Hold.... GO!" I speed off with her just infront, she slowed down to my side but i used this chance to speed past her "Ha, look who's slow now, are you gaining some weight there little girl?" I heard her scoff and she ran pasted me, nipping my leg in the process.

When we finally arrived at the bungalow she skidded to a stop almost falling into the water "Ha, who's the looser now!" She shouted at me, making me roll my eyes "Come here, i need to heal your neck." I said walking inside my home, i came out with a first aid kit and a collar, the collar was so that everyone knew that she wasn't dangerous and she wasn't an escaped dinosaur.

I patched her up and put the collar on, and went to fix my bike whilst playing music. She went and slept in her bed, which was literally a large dog bed.
