The Baby Project

Jade POV
I rolled my eyes as I woke up to loud moaning and poundings on the wall. It was my dumb ass room mate again. She does this almost every night. Aren't we too old for this? A twenty two year old still fucking with young boys. I'M too old for this. If your wondering about the room situation, no. We do not share a room. Since were seniors, the college thinks that we should have privacy so we get our own rooms. The only way we are connected, is through the bathroom.

Anyways, I got out of my bed still annoyed at the fact that she ruined my morning already. I went to the bathroom where I could hear them even louder. I wonder who she was fucking now. Probably some freshman. She only fucks one man one time so it's someone new every time. And I'm pretty sure she fucked the whole campus. I got in the shower and washed myself for about 15 minutes. I got out and dried up. I got dressed in sweats and and a hoodie.

Making my way out, I locked the door and put my purse over my shoulders. I walked to my morning classes. I couldn't wait to get this over with, so I could crawl back into my lovely warm bed. I had health first. Lucky me. I can now learn about sex and my body by an old man*note the sarcasm*.

"Hi Jade,"

"Hey Jade," A few girls waved at me. I gave them a smile and waved at them. I'm pretty known around here. Mostly for my big time parents. But also for my looks and personality. I wouldn't call myself popular but eh I'm known.

I found the class and went inside. People were just starting to fill in. I sat down in the middle section and took out a notebook and pencil. The only thing we do in here is take notes, watch videos and then take tests.

"Ok class! Today I need to discuss somethings with you," Mr. Walker said as everyone took their seats. Uh-Oh, here we go again. Probably another one of his stupid talks about safe sex.

"This June, you all will be leaving," The class hollered.

"Ok settle down settle down. Now, there is an end of the year project. This is probably the biggest project in order to pass. This project would last for exactly 3 months. This project is called The Baby Project," Everybody gasped. Even I was shocked myself.

I've heard about The Baby Project. And they were not good reviews. I once talked to this girl Jalah last year and she said this project is the reason why she had to take another year. She said, "You might think it's easy until you're put into that house with a baby." She also said, quotes "It was the hardest thing I had to do in my life."

Of course I just laughed it off, the baby is fake. It's just a toy. They wouldn't really give us real babies. Um right?

"Yes, yes. I know you've heard some bad news about The Baby Project but kids who actually passed it, have learned so much from it," He stated.

I raised my hand. "As in?"

He thought for a while. "Well... They've learned more about their life choice and what they want to do with it. They learned about structure and discipline. For example, Adrianna Lustin. College graduate, married to her husband Dave with 3 kids and a very well paid job as a teacher in a private school. If you ask me, she's living the life *we chuckled*. Before she started The Baby Project, she wanted to be a secretary. Now look at her! Basically, The Baby Project, sets you up for life," he exaggerated. We all nodded our heads.

"Now, next class we will pick your partners. One of you will spin the wheel and it will decide who you are partnered up with. You will be taken to a house with a baby and will be given the rest of the school work for 3 months. Is there any questions?" A hand full of people raised their hands.

He called on this girl in front if me. "Where do the babies come from?"

"The children are from a local orphanage in Brooklyn. The orphanage has barely any more money to feed these babies so we pay to take them and bring them back ," Mr. Walker answered. So these are real babies?! Are they out of their damn mind! Letting pre-mature college students take care of babies when they can barely take care of themselves! I shook my head in disappointment. Mr.Walker discussed some more details on the assignment.

In overall, this project didn't sound THAT bad. I mean, how hard could it be?
