'Xmas My Heart (Zerrie AU)

Part 7

"Welcome guys." Leona said opening the door into the recording studio. She wanted to finish the song with Zayn before Christmas which is tomorrow, and maybe release the song. Harry and Louis didn't not look or talk with each other, even though they were in the same room. Louis found a way fix things but Harry needs to talk to him. Liam and Sophia sat down on the sofa and cuddled while Niall and Leigh sat on the opposite side. Jade sat on the arm while she talked with Jesy about the Christmas dinner tomorrow. Zayn was getting settle inside the booth, while Perrie covered him with kisses. "We are going to start on 5."

"You better be good baby, or else I'm walking." Perrie joked and Zayn hugged her and kissed her lips. He wanted to hold her for a little longer but he had to start recording in seconds. "I will stand on the other side and admire you as much as possible. Good luck." She whispered and gave him one last kiss before getting out of the recording booth. She went and sat next to Leigh, who couldn't take her hands off Niall. "I see you two are very happy."

"We plan on going to Barcelona after Christmas is done. Spend some time together and enjoy life." Leigh explained holding onto Niall's hands. She feels as if they spent far long without being together. She is enjoying being his girlfriend. Niall makes Leigh happy and he values her no matter what. "I can't wait for our life together. I love this boy to death."

"I love you even more." Niall whispered and kissed Leigh's neck. Perrie was glad that at least another couple has found peace together. She looked over her shoulder and saw Harry ignoring Louis as much as possible. He was talking to Liam and Sophia and they were gossiping about a friend of theirs. Perrie hoped Louis and Harry would figure things out. 

"We are going to start." Leona said and everyone quieted down. They wanted to hear Zayn's voice, after he bragged about it for years. Perrie was delighted that now that Zayn was hers, she could appreciate him even more. Everything about him just made her fall in love with him. But it was probably too soon since they have only developed feelings for each other a couple of days ago.

Zayn was singing and Perrie had to cover her face because he kept pointing at her. His voice was impressive and whenever he hit the high notes, Perrie could feel her eyes watering. Zayn has always been amazing but she never thought he was be this extraordinary. He seemed so confident and Perrie admired him. She felt like a young girl watching her favorite boyband on the TV. When Zayn finished, Perrie clapped the loudest. 

"That was amazing Zayn, better than the first time when you sang it to me. I must see that you finally got the girl." Leona said through the microphone. Perrie smiled to herself, as her friends nudged her and made fun of her. "It makes sense, considering you have always been in love with her for the past year. You two are lucky to be finally together. Not many couples get that chance."

Perrie frowned at what Leona just said. She remembers that Zayn had told her that he has only started developing feelings for her a couple of weeks ago. He lied to her. He has been in love with her for the past year. Perrie couldn't imagine that Zayn would have hidden his feelings for her for that long. He never valued her or their relationship. Why would he lie on the first place?

Perrie stood up and walked inside the booth. Zayn smiled when he saw her and held onto her waist, but Perrie pushed his hands away. Zayn could feel the distant as Perrie stared at him with disappointment. "You have been in love with me for the past year and you didn't tell me? You are making me feel like a complete fool Zayn. And this song...is about me? When did you start writing this song?"

"Perrie..." Zayn was saying but she didn't want to hear his excuses. It would only make her extremely mad. 

"Tell me the truth Zayn." Perrie demanded and crossed her arms. Zayn looked at all the people on the other side of the recording booth and they all looked worried. Zayn knew it was not a good idea to lie about his feelings. 

“I have been secretly in love with you for one year Perrie. I just never thought you would even consider dating me. I started writing this song and I just decided to lie to you because we were together and I didn’t want you to think that I liked you more than you like me.” Zayn explained hoping Perrie would not be mad. 

Something told Perrie that Zayn wasn’t the only person who knew about his feelings. She pressed the speaker button and leaned over to the microphone. “Did you all know about it?” Perrie asked hoping they would say no. But she was overclouded with disappointment when all of them nodded their heads. Even Liam’s girlfriend knew. 

Perrie felt like a joke. For years Zayn fooled her that they were just friends. Perrie too has felt something for Zayn before, but he never showed interest and made her give up on him and focus on other boys. “Perrie…” Zayn whispered trying to hold onto her wrist and Perrie pulled away embarrassed. 

She ran out and Leigh, Jesy and Jade followed her. Louis couldn’t avoid looking at Harry, who was lamenting their friends’ misunderstanding. Harry looked at Louis and tried to avert his eyes, but Louis had his glued on Harry. It was impossible to ignore that boy. Harry just really needed to get some air. “Excuse me.” Harry said and left the room. 

Louis followed him and Harry ran a little bit faster, but Louis caught up to him. Louis always caught up to Harry, no matter where he went. These past days, Harry has been thinking more about Louis now that they are apart, than when they were together. Louis stopped in front of Harry and spread his legs and arms. “You are not getting away. I am not letting you leave.”

“What do you want Louis? Because you clearly seem confused like always.” Harry teased and Louis smiled at Harry. Louis dropped his arms and closed his legs. He knew Harry wouldn’t attempt to run away. Harry was smarter than that. 

“I want you Harry. I have been thinking about our situation for the past couple of days and I realized I can live without the café, the attention I get from other males, money, everything I own, but i can’t live without you. You are all I have ever dreamed of. If I had never met you, my life would be nothing. You complete me Haz.” Louis claimed holding Harry’s hands. 

Harry really wanted to believe Louis but he was scared that Louis would betray him again. “You say this now, but once a better looking guy shows up, you will forget all about me. I have seen couples break up all the time. We are just one of those who were meant to be but never lasted long. I think it’s best if we just move on, please.” Harry pleaded and let go of Louis’ hands. 

Harry was walking away when he heard a popping noise. He turned around and saw Louis on one knee holding a black box. Harry covered his face and Louis looked up at the love of his life. “You mean everything to me and hurting you was one of the hardest things that I have ever faced in life. I am sure Harry. You are the only one. Forever and Always.” Louis told Harry and the curly haired boy approached the box and grabbed it. 

“They are beautiful.” He looked at the two engagement bands inside the box. "Louis, you realize what this means, right. We would be getting married and living together and starting a family and..."

Harry was talking but Louis couldn't contain himself. He got off his knee and kissed Harry's lips, while wrapping his arms around Harry's waist. Harry tried to stop himself, but he knew he loved Louis more than anything in this world. "I love you Harry. I want to live the rest of my life with you."

"I want you to understand that once you get in, you can't get out Louis. You can't wake up tomorrow and realize you don't want me anymore." Harry told him, still holding onto Louis. 

"Don't worry, tomorrow is Christmas. I will just do it on the day after." Louis joked with a cheeky smile and kissed Harry again. He was 100% sure of what he was doing. He and Harry belonged together.
