¤4. Testing the Alpha.

The, still, unnamed man dragged me out of the cell and up the corridor, passing each cell that held more than two prisoners, but no more than five.

"Whats your name?" His voice startled me.

"Whats yours?" I tested.

"I asked first, plus if you weren't my mate, you would be dead right now!" He snarled back at me.

Okay, maybe I shouldn't test his limits.

After a few minutes silence, and eventually reaching the end of the corridor, he opened the large steel door, with a key, that was possibly the size of my hand. Pulling the door open, he dragged me out of the cell block, still having a tight grip on my wrist.

"Roseline, but I prefer Rosie." I finally spoke, breaking the silence, while he led me up dirty steps, leading us away from the cells.

Once we reached the top of the steps, he asked "What?" His eyebrows furrowed, the look of confusion swimming around in his eyes.

"My name, you asked what it was. Roseline." I helped him untangle from the web of confusion he was in.

A look of realisation hit him. "Whats yours?" I asked.

"Don't you already know? I am the most feared Alpha. But you already know that, right?" He asked, smugly.

"No. I don't know your name because I don't spend my days worshipping you like you want everyone to." Of course I did actually know who he was. I just wanted him to say it.

He looked shocked from what I had just said. "Damion Ashford. What's your last name? You never said." He continued.

"Hathaway. Roseline Hathaway." I stated.

"Hathaway? As in Sunrise pack's Alpha Hathaway's daughter?"

"Yes." I said while nodding my head slightly.

"We've been trying to find something, or someone, to be an alliance for us. I guess that's you now." He stated.

"Alliance?" I questioned.

"Yes. We're prepared to make an alliance so that we do not go to war against each other and if we are attacked then we will help each other by joining forces for the period of time that the war is on for."

"Oh." Was literally the only thing I could say.

A few more minutes of him pulling me through endless corridors, we finally stopped in front of a big, wooden door that had a gold, metal, circular handle.

"Where are we and why are we here?" I questioned,

"My room." He stated, shrugging his shoulders, nonchalantly.

"Woah, back it up, buddy. Just because we're mates doesn't mean I'm going to sleep with you within the first few minutes of us meeting." I stated while he dragged me into the room.

Suddenly, my back was pressed up against the wall, Damion pushing me further into it as he leaned in.

"You'll do as I say." He saidz sending a shiver down my back.

"If you remember correctly, I was the one who floored you. I will NOT do anything you say because clearly, I'm stronger than you." He growled at my remark,

"Wanna bet?" He smirked,

"Sure." I retorted,

"Alright. Since your already in training gear, I'll send someone to come fetch you in 5 minutes and you can probe to me AND my whole pack that you're stronger. Deal? Or are you too scared, Rosie?" He sneered,

"Bring it on, Mr. So Called Big Bad Alpha." I teased, smirking.

He growled before storming out of his bedroom.

I smirked to myself,

Who does he think he is, making out that we're weak! We're taking him down. Indigo growled from inside my head.

Writhing the next two minutes, there was a knock on the door as a girl with dark, long hair walked in.

"So, you're the girl who's taking on my big bad brother, huh?" Hold up, did she say 'brother'?!

She smirked at me before telling me we need to leave and go to the 'fighting grounds'.

I nodded and followed her. "Everyones doing bets. They think that Damion's going to win, but from what I heard from James, Damion's Beta and also my mate, he says you have a chance at beating Damion because apparently you floored him in the cells today." She said with stiffling a laugh.

"Yep. I sure did. He had the audacity to slap me, so when my wolf surfaced, she didn't take it too lightly." I laughed a little, too.

"What's your name?" The unnamed girl asked.

"Roseline Hathaway, but I prefer Rosie." I told her,

"Hathaway as in Sunrise Pack?" She inquired.

"The one and only. What's your name?" I felt like I should know,

"Kylie Ahsford." She told me, with a smile,

"Kylie. I like it" I smiled back.

"Well, we're here. I have a feeling we could be could friends. Especially since your going to be our new Luna one day, too." Her smile only widened.

I smiled back at her, then looked out to the field that we were at. It was huge. "How many people are going to be watching?" I asked her.

"Well, if everyone shows up, 488. That includes my parents, by the way, but don't worry, they're rooting for you too." She smirked.

"Oh great." I mumbled.

"Well lets go!" She said while taking my hand in hers and pulling me into the field.

Roseline Lucy Hathaway! Where are you?! My brother growled at me through the mind link,

Woah, chill out brother. I found my mate, by the way! I'm on Midnight Packs territory, about to whip the Alpha's ass. I smirked just thinking about it.
