Jake Jacobs

Jake looked at himself on that mirror covered with fog. He wiped it with his hand and saw his piercing eyes on his reflection. He opened the medicine cabinet and took a pill to relieve his hang over. He didn't take a second to gulp it down his throat, too accustomed of how it felt and having water is not even necessary.

He finally walked out of his bathroom only with that white towel hanging on his waist. He turned to the naked lady sleeping on the bed but he ignored her. He grabbed some clothes and wore them right away. His eyes darted on that huge scar on his chest and clenched his jaw as he remembered how he got that cut. That memory that will never leave his head like how that scar is engraved in his skin.

But he shoves those memories away and continued dressing up. He has a lot to do today. And having a distraction from that lady on his bed is just a part of his procrastination. He should get back to work.

He didn't bother giving a second glance on the woman sleeping on his bed and get out of his room. He saw one of his best mates in this team, August in front of the computer—busy hacking the sites to get the needed information of their next target. From the looks of those food wrappers around his table and unfinished cans of black coffees, he looked like he isn't resting yet. It's like 2 in the morning and he must've stayed up all night to crack a lot of codes to get in that database he has been hacking for days.

"Any luck, hyung?" Jake asked, catching the bottle of water that Gino tossed from the other side of the room.

"I got in. Got all the information needed too. All the details you needed are printed. You can check it out on your table. But Jennifer Morse's profile is hidden. Her family must've been hiding a lot. That made me more curious. I can't let it go." August answered and turned to him. "By the way, Jimmy left."

"Again?"

"He has to stop leaving the base or he'll end up revealing where we are currently staying." Gino said, placing a plate of sandwich in front of his younger mates, August and Jake. "Disposing this place is such a waste. Plus, it's accessible to a lot of routes in the city."

"With what is Jimmy-hyung doing, we will in no time. He needs to understand that this isn't some kind of a Romeo and Juliet shit game. I knew he'll give in to that fashion lady." Jake answered and pressed him temple.

"Don't be too hard on him. He's really having a hard time right now." August said, reaching for the sandwich that Gino prepared for them.

"Hyung, I have to be an iron-hand. I hate to do it but if Father knew about this, he'll get worse." Jake answered and eats that sandwich too. "Can you track him?"

"Of course." August answered and shifted to the other screen behind him. He pushed a couple of keys in his keyboard and when he hit enter, a satellite view of Jimmy's location is revealed in front of them.

"I knew it." Jake answered and stood up from his seat. He turned to Gino who already have his car keys in his hand.

"Cargo?" He asked and Jake just nodded.

"Hyung, we will be back in an hour. Once we're back, we will discuss our next rabbit." Jake said, making the older nod. He looked at the picture of the gorgeous lady registered on the other screen. She is wearing her usual white dress as she smiles at that little kid she spoke on that street. "Let's go, hyung." He said again, looking at Gino.
