Midnight-

Levi was going over the news. He didn't sleep all that much anyway. Just then, a sudden pained scream caused him to jump his to his feet. It came from Hanji's room. Levi raced over. She was still asleep but flailing around in bed.

"Hanji!" Levi exclaimed.

She didn't react. Levi rushed over and tried to shake her awake but that didn't work. Hanji screamed and tried to hit him. Levi had no choice. He gripped her wrists as gently as possible and held her down to the bed. Levi saw the bloody fingernail marks over her damaged eye. What the hell was she dreaming about?!

"NO!" Hanji cried out.

Dream...it was more like a nightmare.

"Hanji! WAKE UP!" Levi yelled.

She jolted awake and tried to punch him.

"Hey easy!" Levi said as he caught her fist.

Hanji blinked several times, trying to calm down. Her breathing was heavy and erratic.

"You're all right, it's okay," Levi said.

"You were just having a nightmare."

Hanji's eyes scanned the room, as if she was trying to figure out where she was.

"You're in my house, remember? You moved here a while ago," Levi explained.

"R-right..." Hanji replied.

Levi took her hand.

"Come with me," he said.

Hanji allowed him to pull her up and lead her out to the living room. Levi sat her down on the couch and wrapped a warm blanket around her shoulders.

"I'll be right back," Levi said.

He turned to leave but Hanji grabbed his hand. Levi could see the fear in her eyes.

"D-don't leave..." Hanji whimpered.

Levi knelt down and looked at her.

"I'm not leaving, I just need to get the first aid kit and I want to make you some tea," he said.

"P-promise you'll be back?" Hanji asked.

"I will only be a few feet away Hanji," Levi assured her.

"Please rest here while I get the kit and I will be right back."

Hanji slowly nodded. Levi quickly but with expect precision, grabbed everything he'd need. Hanji stayed curled up on the couch. Levi came over and sat down.

"Let's have a look," he said as he clipped her bangs back.

Levi cleaned up the excess blood.

"Hmmm..." he mumbled.

"What?" Hanji asked.

"I won't ask what you were dreaming about as I have a good idea," Levi said.

"The damage you did to your eye just by clawing at is quite shocking. Luckily, it's not bad enough to need a trip to the doctor but it will need to be bandaged for a few days."

"So...everyone at work will see it..." Hanji mumbled.

"If anyone gives you trouble for it, I will make sure they pay," Levi said.
