4. The Fight

"Oh look, here comes one now", I accidentally say out loud.

A man that looks about to be in his 20's comes up to me. I sigh, why do these soldiers act so stupid. I mean who in their right mind would think that they can just come up to my face and glare at me. Without getting their ass kicked in the process.

"Hey there kid...", Oh god I hate when people call me that, "what in your peanut sized brain would think that you set foot on this base," says the middle aged man. I look up at his name tag, William...

"Well William, I believe that doesn't concern someone of your stupidity", I say while smirking, because I know that I hit a nerve in this man.

"Why you shity little bra-", he throws a punch at my face, which I in turn dogge. I nudge him in the back which leads to him tripping over a rock. I smirk looking at Willam, he is currently cursing himself out, on the soaked ground that is. I start laughing hysterically at this beautiful imagery painted right in front of me.

I turn around thinking that I am done with the piece of trash named William, but to my surprise the man gets up to throw another puch at me. Before he could reach me, which I know he wouldn't be able to, Dr. Lucius stopped his punch. I look at him questioning why he just did that. After all, I am supposed to be a "freak" , something that is disowned by society, and ushered into the hands of death.

"W-why would yo-, why did you stop him?" I look at him with a concerned look in my eyes. What would have to be so wrong with this person that he decided to stop this no-named hand. A hand that is in no means worth stopping. I wait for a response, but I didn't receive one.

But the gift I am given is a tug, a hard one, but stangly there was sympathy and warmth in it. One that I would gladly be able to fall into every night. God damn it I need to stop thinking about this shit. I can't be walking around on the battlefield thinking about sunshine and rainbows. I snap back, I tug my arm in the opposite direction retaliating from the force that pulls me astray from reality.
