IRENE'S POV

The next day I woke up hearing some mutters and whispers, my eyes flutter open to see my friends standing over me "What the heck are you doing here-" I paused and looked at my clock "-its 8 in the morning explain or else someones gonna get it" I said the last part darkly with an evil grin.

"W-we wanted to ask if you wanted to come with us?" Neko asked sheepishly

"where?" I asked, raising an eyebrow

"we're visiting our extended family out of the village," Casey explained. "They're way nicer than the ones here"

"Wow, you're doing anything to avoid your dad. Is it that bad?" I question

"Yeah" Neko says

"he totally disregarded our existence so why not have some fun then? He won't mind anyway," Casey chirped happily.

"As if he cares," Neko scoffs, arms crossed.

"Neko!"

"Its true" he hums, Casey had this face that said that her brother is right

"sure sounds fun to get out of this dusty village." I replied "Just let me change and pack real quick, ok?" they nodded and started to head out of my room

It didn't take me long to pack as I had a minimalist room with only the essentials since I usually travel a lot and don't settle down for long periods of time.

I pulled my hair in a and a perfect for traveling in my opinion

When I was done, I met my friend in the living room as they sat at the bar of my open kitchen that was connected to my living room

"So, I'm ready." I clasped my hands together cheerfully with a small smile

"hey, your drooling again." Casey monotonously points out

"Oh, am I?" he said, trying to play it off like it didn't even happen.

'real smooth' a small grin painted itself on my face
