Questions And Desires

Sasuke pov 🍅

Sakura looks at me stunned. The pink haired stays silent for a moment just looking at me still shocked by my sudden appearance. She finally breaks the awkward silence.

'H-hey yeah long time no see haha' She says nervously laughing.

She stares at me confused. I don't blame her. I was in a busy street with cafes and local tourist spots all around. I'm sweaty from running around and catching my breath.

'So how's life been since you know ?' Sakura asks, looking away.

I feel nervous by her question. I Smile awkwardly and face her.

'Good good,' I say embarrassed. She giggles at my facial expression and smiles nervously, It was also weird for her seeing me after years and also after a horrible fall out. Naruto and I went one way and she the other.

'Um, would you like to catch up? We can go somewhere and talk if you'd like' she asks me.

'Sure' I say, a little surprised. 'Um. we could go inside and talk abou-' I say as she interrupted.

'NO' she screams quickly covering her mouth. 'Sorry Ino is in there she's so nosy damn that Ino pig is there somewhere else you'd like to go'. Sakura stares at me waiting for an answer.

'Yeah I heard about a café, café Akamichi' I reply a little embarrassed.

She smiles excitedly 'yeah that's a good place my friend Karui works there let's go it a few blocks from here' she grins.

The way to the café is awkward. We just walk not saying a word to each other. She keeps checking her phone typing and giggling, I wonder who she was chatting with but I don't dare peep.

I feel relieved when the awkward silence was over and as we finally reach our destination. Sakura walks in full of confidence and rushes to the cashier desk.

'Karui!!' Sakura shouts excitedly. She quickly jumps over the counter and hugs the dark skinned women. The woman ties her spiky red hair and embraces the pink haired back.

'Hey Sakura, what's up, who's that man with you ?' Karui asks confused.

'Oh um,' Sakura hesitates trying to find what our relationship status is.

'Oh that's Sasuke and old frien- um, I mean acquaintance from middle school' she quickly states.

Ouch I smile awkwardly and wave my hand at the red haired women. It was bothering me that she didn't mention highschool. Well I can't really hold her accountable. That's when we had our huge fallout and she's the one who suffered the most.

'Oh is that so' the red haired woman looks at me. 'Hello Sasuke, my name is Karui Akimichi, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance'. Karui grins and looks towards Sakura who smiles at gives her a thumbs up in response to her gesture. They both start laughing and the redhead stares back at me waiting for me to respond.

'Pleasures all mine, the name's Sasuke, Sasuke Uchiha.' I notice that sakura gets tense when I introduce myself. I decide to change the subject to avoid any awkwardness.
