...

The common doors of Tower swished open, and Beast Boy strolled into the room with a casual stride. Heading straight to the kitchen, he opened the fridge door and hummed a tune to himself. Grabbing a cold soda, he closed the door, only to let out a startled "GAH!" When Raven appeared behind him, causing him to drop his drink. "Raven, we've talked about this. No sneaking up on people." He scolded, clutching his chest and giving her an annoyed glare.

"I made no such promises, Beast Boy." Raven informed him dryly, crossing her arms.

Beast Boy huffed, bending down to retrieve his fallen drink. "We need to put a bell on you or something..." He grumbled under his breath.

"Quit your nagging. We have work to do." Raven scolded as she made her way over to the main computer.

"What do you mean, work?" Beast Boy questioned, raising an eyebrow once he straightened back up.

Raven typed swiftly into the computer, and the screen came alive with information. "Robin sent over a case." She informed him.

Beast Boy let out a heavy sigh. "Great, even when he's not here, Boy Wonder is still bossing us around."

Unperturbed, Raven continued typing at the computer. "I told him we can handle this by ourselves, so I would appreciate it if you didn't contradict me."

"I'm not the one who thinks we can't work well together." Beast Boy retorted.

Raven sighed at his comment. "You're already disproving my point," she muttered under her breath.

"Just tell me what the mission is." Beast Boy grumbled.

Rolling her eyes, Raven pulled up the files Robin had sent. "Lexcorp is suspected of stealing top-secret robotic engineering files from S.T.A.R Labs." She explained. "Robin wants us to investigate."

Beast Boy whined in protest, "He wants us to go to Lexcorp? That's so far away?!"

"Given that it's just the two of us, I'm pretty sure I can teleport us there." Raven stated, switching off the computer.

His face turned serious as he gave her a concerned look. "Doesn't it weaken you when you teleport people?"

"Briefly, yes. But I should be able to regain my strength quickly. The question is, will you be able to handle the transition? Last time, you got sick," Raven reminded him.

Quickly dismissing her concern with a wave of his hand, Beast Boy replied confidently, "Please, Raven. I'm sure I can manage."

Raven rolled her eyes, stepping up beside him. "Are you ready?" She asked, lifting her arms in preparation.

He smirked confidently. "Always."

With a flick of her wrists, Raven summoned her powers, enveloping them both in darkness, and in an instant, they teleported to Lexcorp, ready to face the challenges that awaited them.

...

Behind the dumpster of the commanding Lexcorp building, Raven's teleportation spell dissipated, and Beast Boy stumbled forward, feeling lightheaded from the transition. He instinctively reached out and grasped the side of the dumpster, using it to steady himself as he regained his composure.

"Are you alright?" Raven asked.

"Peachy." Beast Boy managed to say, turning his attention back to her. "How about you?"

"I'm fine." She assured him, but her words were soon contradicted as she unexpectedly stumbled forward.

Reacting quickly, Beast Boy caught her before she could collapse to the ground. "No, you're not." He spoke critically, gently guiding her to a sitting position on the ground.
