Chapter 1 | An Interesting Start

Before we get into this story I just want to day that I do not own any of the characters in this series, besides my Oc. Other than that enjoy the story!

Dream World

'It's quiet, but there are so many of them', the small boy thought as he curled together holding his knees with both arms. Eyes staring at him, never looking away. Creatures chattering to each other. Whispers being overheard everywhere. 

Where was he?  Who were these people? Why were they looking at him with such curiosity? The boy struggled to understand as he questioned many things in his head. 

The faces of the people started to look at the boy with utter disgust. Finally be able to hear, he heard as they were shouting , calling him negative things that he did not like. 

He looked around desperately, catching the eyes of another person. They looked down at him, smiling. 'Such a sweet smile.'  He thought, not knowing the true intentions that were behind that person's mask. They came up to him, and even offered their hand to the small little boy. The boy took it without any thought deciding to smile back at the light that had appeared in front of him. 

Not caring about what the others were saying in the room, the boy stood up and followed the person naively. Being led to an unknown area, the boy continued to follow the stranger, not questioning once where they were going. 

The person was nice, and they didn't call him names. They were surely the missing piece that the boy was longing for. Surely they were....

Narrator's POV

Jolting awake, Haruki gasped as the sudden dream had ended. "Haruki?", a voice said softly gaining Haruki's attention as he glanced slightly to his side. "Are you okay? You looked like you were having a nightmare."

Coming into view sat a girl, worry flowing through her words as she asked the younger male a question. Haruki stayed silent for a moment before answering. "Yeah, I'm fine." He said sternly with no emotion. 

He was currently in the back seat of a car, along side his 'sister' Yui. They were on their way to stay with an acquaintance of their father's after he had to leave for a 'business trip'. 

Although knowing the real truth as to why their father asked them to leave, Haruki decided against telling Yui about it. Knowing her all she would do is panic and squirm like a maggot, while being annoying by asking unnecessary questions. Haruki already had a major headache, and freaking out Yui wouldn't do anything. Not that he minded seeing her in despair, he just wasn't in the mood for it after encountering some unwanted past memories. 

It's not that Yui was a bad person, or somebody that Haruki truly hated, she just got on his nerves. She was one of those people who constantly asked stupid questions, and was overall a complete idiot in the form of a cute girl. "Are you sure?" She asked again putting her hand slightly on top of Haruki's with an even more worried look. There it was. The unnecessary questions that Haruki was talking about. 

Haruki snatched his hand away from the girl, startling her. "Don't touch me." He said as he scoffed, glaring at the frightened girl next to him. He stared at her immensely making sure not to break eye contact with her. That was a habit that Haruki began to develop, and it was starting to freak people out. He grinned slightly looking straight into her bright pink eyes...
