Being around the Sakimaki's was tiring. Having to not only avoid the blood craved brothers, but also keeping watch of his 'sister' stressed him out. Everything was becoming a mess and Haruki didn't want to deal with it.
Why did Seiji have to drag him into his little game? Why did Yui have to be a nicer person then she needed to be? It would've given him a reason to at least dislike the girl... Being stuck in a mansion full of teleporting vampires was also not ideal.
Haruki was full of complaints. Ones that could go on for minutes on end if he was allowed to express them. He was a short tempered person, so it wouldn't be put past him.
It wasn't as if the living conditions were life threatening, but in his mind it was close enough to it. Haruki was mentally drained from life. The church was starting to become better in his eyes as his time with the brothers increased. The place he called 'home'. Where he was sent to after being found unwanted by his own blood. It was the place that was supposed to be a shelter, a safe haven. However, it brought more bad memories then good and it left a bad taste in his mouth.
When Seiji had took him in, Haruki was convinced that his life would no longer be filled with strife. Afterall, He said everything would turn out fine in the end. So Haruki believed every word and lie that was told to him by his elders, the people inside the church. He believed what they believed, even the sweet nothings he was told everyday as a child. For all of his trauma, hanging on to those nothings became a coping mechanism for him. Haruki, like every kid, wanted to be loved after all. He became so blindsided by obsession that learning the corrupt and twisted things hidden behind closed doors almost drove right past him. He didn't want to accept anything otherwise.
If what was supposed to be his new 'home' was turning out to be just the same as the one before, Haruki didn't know what to do. Things were beginning to remind him too much of when he was vulnerable, and he hated that. More than anything he despised not being in control, being unable to stabilize and calm his emotions when he saw fit.
Maybe it was the brothers doing. Maybe it was their presence that caused Haruki's discomfort. Their whole family dynamic was odd to him. For the first time in a long time he felt as though they were at a distance. Where he could not make out parts and details revolving them. They were an imbalance in his scale, and that made him weary. Haruki wanted to avoid it.

Hey so here's another short chapter. I wanted to get a little bit more into Haruki's past to add some character development. His character at this point however is a bit messed up from what was originally planned. I kinda just made it up on the spot so I hope its at least a little enjoyable!
Thank you so much again for the support! <3 Seriously I didn't think this shitty story would make it this far haha. Anyways enjoy this chapter!!
