summary: will you ever say hello even if you don't remember

"Min?" Soonyoung uttered breathlessly, he couldn't speak a word without feeling like his lungs were cut into pieces, "M-Minnie?" he cried slowly, and held his heart tightly.

Seokmin only spared him a glance before looking away from him. Soonyoung tried to reach out to Seokmin's hands before his body gave up and he couldn't breathe anymore. Seokmin could only give him a final pitiful look before the nurses had to assist Soonyoung back to his room.

"He comes everyday, and whenever he sees me, he cries," Seokmin murmured to himself.

"Lee Seokmin, you have a visitor," a nurse supported a red eyed Kwon Soonyoung, his arms still in bandages.

Soonyoung looks everywhere but at Seokmin, making the latter sigh and stare at him even more.

"Again?" Seokmin asked, his voice is monotone and his displeased expression didn't help.

"I'm sorry, Minnie," Soonyoung cries, "Please, I'm sorry,"

"You leave me and now you say you're sorry," the line hits Soonyoung even harder and he can feel all air leave him, but he tries to hold it in.

"M-Minnie, please, listen to me. Please," he begged, but Seokmin just tells him to leave.

"Min-"

"Please just leave,"

The air broke, with Soonyoung leaving and giving Seokmin a last 'I love you'. The mixed feelings of discomfort, anger and guilt had possessed Seokmin, leaving a dreadful feeling all over his body.

-

"Lee Seokmin, you-"

"I don't want to see him," Seokmin said sternly, he was going to live his life without Kwon Soonyoung no matter how much his heart ached for him.

"Seokmin,"

His visitor was no longer Soonyoung, but a pained-faced Jihoon.

"Hoon- I don't want to talk about him," he rushed.

"I'll do most of the talking, it's fine- I don't need a chair thank you," Jihoon leaned against the door at a comfortable distance, "Soonyoung isn't dealing with any of this well, you know. He's trying to explain everything but it seems like you've given up before he could say a word,"

Seokmin stayed silent and convinced himself that the slight blood coming out of his arm was interesting.

"It's fine, though I've never seen Soonyoung so shattered like that. Seokmin, he's more fragile than you think,"

"I can see that, but he's not the only one who's hurting!"

"Minnie, you need to let Soonyoung speak to you-" in his pocket, Jihoon's phone rang. He excused himself but when the call started, he didn't look happy. Seokmin could only hope for the worst now.

"Soonyoung?" Jihoon said, he was confused to the point that he was borderline horrified, "I'll stay here then,"

"Sorry about that Min, what were we talking about again?"

"Uh, about letting Soonyoung speak to me,"

"Oh yeah, about that, scratch it. I'll answer your questions,"

Now it was Seokmin's turn to be confused, "What? You just said let Soonyoung speak to me."

Jihoon bit the inside of his mouth and looked down, "Min," he uttered, "Soonyoung, he, his health worsened. He told me to speak for him- Please Min! Please listen!"

"Fine, but please tell me why Soonyoung left me? Didn't he left me there? I tried to reach out and find him, but I couldn't! Why wasn't he there? I was so... scared," Seokmin grazed his own heart, after remembering the pain and agony he felt.

"Min. He was always there,"
