Thing's were good

Gray's POV:

School Tournament.

Every year the school held a tournament between students to rank the kids.
Of course I was gonna take part and Natsu wasn't going to miss a second of it.
"We're totally gonna destroy them!" Natsu exclaimed as we made our way down the corridor towards the gym where the 1st round was taking place.
"We sure are"
Then he grabbed my hand and dragged me down the corridor and into the gym.
"Geez we weren't that far away Natsu"
"Not close enough"
The gym was barricaded with fences so the fighters couldn't back out and nobody could cheat.
"Welcome everyone!" Makarov said, standing in the middle of the gym.
"I wish the best to all of you but remember three loses means you're out of the competition and there are 5 places to be won but first place is where you should be aiming" He explained.
"Now I have the list of people who signed up and the following names should step up here so you can be given your instructions after and remember only ten of you were selected from the sign up sheet"
"Now can Lucy Heartfilia step up first please"

Lucy was grinning obviously pleased that she was chosen and she ran up there.
Makarov gave her a sheet and she looked confused. She had recieved a few cheers from the crowd as well.

"Next up is Rogue Cheney" He didn't look bothered but when did he ever? He too recieved quite a few cheers.

"Erza Scarlet and Jella Fernandes!"

The two walked up and recieved a ton of cheers. Obviously they owned a lot of fans.

"Mirajane Strauss and Yukino Aguria!" They got a lot of cheers but it was gonna take a lot to beat the amount Erza and Jellal got I mean the entire school looked up to them plus Erza is scary.

"Our newest student Wendy Marvell!" She got some cheers and I was happy she had some fans already.

"Sting Eucliffe and Gray Fullbuster!" To be honest I was shocked but obviously Sting was not because he just strolled up like it was instinct. I'm guessing he got chose every year.

"And finally Natsu Dragneel!" The whole gym erupted in cheers. He was Erza's rival.

"Hell yeah!" Natsu exclaimed standing next to me.

We all recieved a piece of paper like Lucy and I read through it carefully.

It basically explained that not all events would be solo and could be group work or three against one but I wasn't worried and it also explained that some might ban magic or it could vary to a race but magic could be used.

"Ok the first event is a race around the school field and we all know how big that field is!" Makarov exclaimed with a laugh.

Sometimes I think he likes to pick to hardest things on purpose.

We all headed to the field and took our places and of course Erza changed into her running clothes.

"READY!" Makarov yelled.

"SET!"

"GO!" and we set off but poor Wendy was the smallest so of course she lagged behind however I could see the determination in her face.

I counted where everyone was.

Natsu was tying was Sting and Erza followed very closely behind and Jellal was behind me and Mirajane was behind him and behind her Yukino and Lucy and Wendy in last but I couldn't find Rogue until I tripped over thin air or should I say his shadow.
"He did say magic was allowed" I mumured to myself before smirking.

Then suddenly Mirajane flew by in her second demon form.

"ICE MAKE FLOOR!" I made sure it went forward.

I saw them all stumbling and I just carried on running past them but they recovered quickly.

I was in 4th place again when I saw Natsu on fire and he elbowed Sting in the gut just as he crossed the finished line.

I sped up my pace and came in 3rd!

"Alright the scores is Natsu in 1st, Erza in 2nd, Gray in 3rd, Sting in 4th, Rogue in 5th, Mirajane in 6th, Jellal in 7th, Lucy and Yukino tied for 8th and Wendy in last place"

The crowd talked over the scores while I walked over to Natsu and congratulated him.

"Thanks you should be proud as well I mean 3rd is not far from 1st"

Natsu's POV:

After saying well done to Gray I walked over to Wendy who stood alone.

"You didn't do so good but the next round is yours I just know it" I said to her and she smiled.

"Next round for today is a fight between Lucy and Wendy!"

Lucy walked into the fighting zone and Wendy took the other side.

"Ready and FIGHT!"

"OPEN THE GATE OF THE LION, LEO!" 

Then Loke showed up and of course flirted with Lucy before charging at Wendy who looked terrified.

"SKY DRAGON ROAR!" It hit Loke dead on and knocked him over.

"Go back Loke I've got this!" and he was gone.

"Open the gate of the golden bull Taurus!" The bull took Wendy by suprise and knocked her over.

Wendy got up quicky.

"Fast wind that run the heaven VERNIER!" 

I knew that spell. It could make her faster!

"SKY DRAGON WING ATTACK!" It knocked Taurus over.

Then I remembered something from earlier.

You were allowed to ask for help but that person got moved up the score board as well so it was a risky move because if they were in 2nd they could moved into 1st.

"YUKINO I ASK FOR YOUR HELP!" Lucy yelled and Yukino entered the arena.

"Open the gate of the two fish pisces!" and the two fish appeared and Lucy had summoned Scorpio so that meant Wendy was against 3.

All three sent attacks at Wendy and a huge explosion happened.

"WENDY!" I yelled.

But when the smoke cleared Wendy was standing but she had her dragonforce on.

"DRAGON SLAYER'S SECRET ART SHATTERING LIGHT SKY DRILL!" 

It hit all 5 of them.

Lucy, Yukino, Scorpio and Pisces.

The match went to Wendy!

"GREAT JOB WENDY!"

That was the first day over and I walked Gray home.

"Man Wendy was awesome!" I exclaimed.

"She sure was"

When Gray arrived at his room I kissed him goodnight before heading off.

Gray's POV:

I closed my eyes but I immediatley opened them after hearing a pretty terrifying message coming from my head.

"He will suffer and you will win!"

What the hell was that? 
And what did it mean?

Hello author here, how was the chapter? I hope it was good and the tournaments sounding good isn't it. Wendy's pretty badass in my opinion well when she wants to be.
