As you step out into the warm September afternoon, the bright sun flashes into your e/c eyes. You pull the large trunk out of your parents car, barley managing to hold it.  Your parents come out of the car, smiling sadly as they walk you to the station. Your mom has always been emotional, your dad being much more calm.

"Okay y/n, please be safe. Make sure to write!" Your mom sniffles, holding back tears. You smile nodding along. "Of course I will mom." You laugh. Your dad walks up with all your things, handing you the small cart as you stand near the enterance to Platform 9 3/4. "Did you forget anything?" Your dad says, ruffling your h/c hair. "Nope! I have everything!" You look at both of them before pulling them both into a hug. "I'll see you guys soon!" You back up before running through the small brick wall, ariving on the platform. Being muggles, they can't come through. You walk over with your cart, pulling your things along until you get to the enterance of the train.

You slowly walk down the asile of the long train, looking into each cart until you find Harry, Hermione, and Ron sitting in one. You smile and slide in, Hermione jumping up to hug you. The four of you had been friend since you met in first year. You hug her back laughing as you walk over and hug Harry, messing up his hair. Finally you turn around to face Ron. He's grown since fourth year, his hair cut a little bit shorter. Looking up at his spakling green eyes, you pull your arms around his neck and giggle as he sligtly lifts you offf the ground in a tight hug. You stop, noticing the strong smell of sweet butterscotch that surround you as you hug into him. You back away, smiling.

You sit down next to the window, Ron scooting in next to you. You laugh it off, leaning back into your seat. You all start to catch up, talking about your summers and the upcoming year. As the train starts to pull from the station, you glance over at Ron, seeing him looking at you. He blushes when he see's you noticing, looking away almost imediantly. You puase for a minute before brushing it off. It's just Ron. He's your best friend. Thats it. You remind yourself. You look back to Hermione, smiling.  You two start up a conversation about school, making you mostly forget the odd feelings from before.

After about an hour on the train ride, you look over and see Ron dead asleep. His feathery hair falls over his eyes and his head leans to the side as he snores lightly. You laugh a little bit, signaling Hermione too look at him. She glances up from her book, slowly shutting it. Harry then takes notice of sleeping Ron and giggles. The three of you circle around him as he mumbles something in his sleep. Harry pokes him with the tip of his finger. "He's really out, isn't he?" He whispers. You nod, glancing down at him. Ron slowly leans over on the seat and falls into your lap, snoring as he slumps onto you. You can feel butterflys in your stomach and your face turns a bright red color. He cuddles into you, burrying his face in your stomach.

"Oh my god!" Hermione laughs, seeing your reaction. She sits back doen with Harry, looking across at you. You look down at him, not noticing the smile that has formed on your face as you move the hair from his face. You find yourself taking note of each part of his face. His eyelashes that curl back towards his face, his soft features perfectly speckled with small light brown freckles. The way that his nose is curved, having a slight upward turn. You look back up, seeing Harry smirking at you.

"What Harry?" You say, confused at the cocky look he's giving you. "You like him, don't you?" He says quietly. You nearly choke on air as you turn a bright shade of pink. "Oh my god, no! He's just my friend Harry." You snap back, making sure Ron is still asleep.  "Mmhm.." Harry mumbles with an extra helping of sass. "It's true! You say, trying to keep a straight face. "Oh yeah.. I look at all my freinds with that... piney look." He teases. Your face turns to a darker shade of red. "I don't know why I feel like this! I mean, he's my best friend. Whatever this is isn't as important as that." You say confidently. Harry purces his lips and goes back to reading the dialy profit.  You look down at Ron, trying to ignore the feelings that so obviously arise. You look out the window, letting your mind wander as the tain continued down the tracks.

Ron's POV:

I can't get her out of my head. Something was.. Differant about that hug. I felt something and I don't know what it is. It can't be feelings. She's my best friend and I couln't ruin that. But when she looks at me I get this rush, like she might feel the same. I can't help but stare, she's changed so much. Her hair is a little bit longer than before, and her face is more adult than before. She looks so much more... mature this year. I can't get her out of my head with her vanilla peppermint perfume and her contagous laugh. I can't keep feeling this way. I can't be attracted to her! It's just y/n. I don't like her like that. I awake from my thoughts to the sound of Harry's voice.

"You like him, don't you?" Harry says. "Oh my god, no! He's just my friend Harry." My heart hurts a little bit at her words, but I continue listening to thier coversation. "Oh yeah, I look at all my friends with that...piney look." He says in a sarcastic tone. Was she really looking at me like that? I sudenly bacame aware that my hear was reasting in her lap. My face felt hot and I could tell I was blushing hard. She continued on abut how she felt bad for "feeling this way." and that we were friends first and foremost. I hear it get quiet as they resume thier activities. y/n's hand moves the hair from my face, making me feel warm and bubbly inside. Bloody hell, what is she doing to me?
