The air was frigid that night, small flakes of snow began to fall signaling more to come. The air base was quite only a handful of men were outside down there freezing even with their thick uniforms on it couldn't stop the cold; they only made it slightly more bearable. Up in the dark sky though two jets were flying towards each other still far away but flying at each other nonetheless, two F-5e Tiger 2s were approaching each other rapidly neither one saying a word. Suddenly  a voice came through to the plane coming from the east.

"This is flight trainer reporting from the control tower, Trainer pilot 015 what's your status?"

"This is Trainer pilot 015 on course and standing by''. "Understood"

The flight trainer swapped comms to the other pilot. "This is flight trainer reporting from the control

tower trainer pilot 016 what's your status?" "This is trainer pilot 016 on course and standing by" "Understood". As the aircraft grew closer now in visible range the

flight trainer came back on both lines "Alright commence the mock dogfight go on the merge" the pilots responded "Roger" as the two planes got closer the tension between them grew.

015 POV

I started to breathe slowly, this is our final test before we become full fledged fighter pilots. we had to give it our all nothing holding us back I wasn't going to go easy on her. As we got closer we shifted our planes, as we passed I pulled a high G turn, I instantly felt the Gs it was nothing too bad I did my best to tighten up my  stomach, that along with my suit helped.

as the nose of my plane came around to where 016 was I saw her go into a split S, so I followed. Right as I got my sights on her she had pulled a slight post stall which pulled her nose around to face my craft.

I pulled my aircraft right as hard as I could and dove to the ground and she followed.

I quickly pulled a half post stall and pulled the trigger. Our planes were equipped with practice shots, basically just digital rounds that training censors that were on our planes would detect and count as a hit to wherever it "landed".

All my shots had missed. I pulled a barrel roll of sorts causing me to roll over her plane, I pushed the throttle as far as I could to try and get some distance,

she was still on my tail however so I went vertical and post stalled again.

Whipping my plane around to meet nose to nose with her, not realizing how close she was I tried to roll to the side to avoid her fire I wasn't to lucky however she managed to slightly tag my left wing, "Damnit at least im still in this".

I continued into a dive which she followed, I pitched my plane up while pulling back on the throttle causing my plane to go horizontal causing 016 to pass me.

I speed up and rolled my plane to follow her. As I slid in behind her she post stalled, her plane flipped around and now we were in a head on.

With my sights on the cockpit of the plane I pulled the trigger prying id hit, then I noticed the light coming from the barrel of her guns and then my display lit up confirming that I hit the sensor on her helmet but in return she hit my helmet too meaning we were now both out.

I signed as I leveled my plane out with 016 forming up with me, after a bit of silence I heard her voice come through.

"Well I'd say it's safe to say that I won" she said this with a slight giggle "Bullshit my shots definitely hit first!" I jumped in not entirely sure if what I said was true or not but didn't want her to have this one.

Suddenly the flight trainer's voice came through the comms

"Actually it says that her shot hit first so yeah sorry buddy" "Haha told you so!" She chimed in after receiving proof of her victory I just sighed in response "Alright you two Rtb you both did good" with that we turned towards the base. I think were more than ready.
