Mari's pov.

Today is my 18th birthday. The party is still planned, but it won't be the same without Adrien or Chat noir. I can't believe Adrien is sick...I hope Nathalie is taking good care of him, but on the other hand, Chat noir has no one. I don't know where he would be. I can't risk my life for his, but I want to. My eyes watered. If only I could help him. I fell to the floor crying. Chat noir please be okay. Don't be alone. I love you too much for this. "Chat noir!!" I yell and cry.

"Hello, Love giver I'm Hawkmoth. I give you the powers to help anyone who comes your way. In return, I want ladybug's miraculous." I nod. "Okay Hawkmoth" I transform into a love giver. I want to find Chat noir. To help him, but he can't come out. He is sick somewhere in his home. It'll be impossible to find him. Walking around Paris I help people with their problems. The help isn't really good though. I go through Adrien's window. "Adrien, I can help you." I smiled. He coughed. "Mari? What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here. What happened?" He covered his face and backed up. "I'll get you sick!" He claimed. "I can help."

I walked towards him and healed him. My power made another person sick though. He gasped. "I don't feel sick anymore..." he said. I smiled. "Good. Now I have to find Chat noir." I left and Adrien transformed. He ran out. I continued 'helping' people and chat noir arrived. "Chat noir? But isn't he sick? Whatever Love giver take his miraculous and find ladybug!" I try to take it. "Marinette it's me! Please stop this." Chat noir eventually got my Akuma. "What happened?" I asked. "You were akumatized," He said. I gasp and run out to transform and use my lucky charm just to repair the damage.

I came back as Marinette. Chat was sick once again because the lucky charm fixed everything. I frowned. "I'll help you." I picked him up. "No, you'll get sick-" He coughed. I brought him to my home. "Princess it's your birthday. I don't want you sick." I coughed. "I think it's a bit too late now." I smiled weakly. He sighed. "I'm sorry. Chat apologized. "It's alright." I pet his head. I called Alya and told her to plan the party for another day. Today I was spending time with Chat.

I took care of Chat all night. Today was a scary day. It was my first time being akumatized. If my power wasn't helping people Chat wouldn't have pulled it off so well. At least he got no one sick. Besides me of course. He was looking at me. I wonder what he was thinking about. After hours of taking care of him, I was going to go to sleep. I kissed him on the cheek. Then we went to sleep.

A couple of weeks later.

Adrien and I were finally back and school. I didn't end up having a birthday party. It's alright. Even though, I ended up being sick on my birthday at least I got to spend it with Chat noir. "Hey, girl." Alya waved. I waved back. "Hi" I smiled and sat beside her. I looked at Adrien who was already looking at me. I blushed and he walked up to me. "I'm glad you aren't sick anymore Adrien." He smiled at me. "Thank you." looking into his green eyes I realized he was there for a reason. "So what did you want?" I asked. "I was wondering if you'd like to stay the night today. I've been meaning to talk to you." I nod "umm okay. I need to talk to you too." I shivered. I wonder what Adrien needs to tell me. He left and Alya looks automatically at me. "ooooo" I laughed. "It's nothing like that, Adrien is just a friend." I sighed. "Mhm." She giggled.

Later I go to Adrien's. I'm so nervous about what he has to say. I walk into his room. He wasn't home so I sit on his piano bench to wait for him. It's been a couple of hours and Adrien still isn't back. I walked out and saw the guest room cracked. I looked inside and saw Adrien and Kagami making out. My eyes watered. I thought I was over Adrien but I guess not. "Adrien you're such a good kisser~" Kagami moaned. Adrien pushed Kagami away. "What the hell are you doing!" Adrien wiped his lips and turned to me crying. "Mari it's not what it looks like-" I ran out crying and he ran after me. I was running for now, but he was still right behind me.

"Marinette wait please!" I stopped. "What is it, Adrien?" I turned to him. "Kagami forcefully kissed me, she brought me to that guest bedroom because it was the closest room to the dining room. She was over for dinner because we came home from fencing. It wasn't what it seemed. Believe it or not, Kagami is really strong. I couldn't push her away until she was vulnerable." I wiped a tear. "Why do you feel you have to explain this all to me anyway?!" I yelled. "It's not like we are together..." I mumbled. "That's what I've been meaning to tell you. I want you, Mari. I love you, I need you" He begged. I looked at Adrien's sad eyes. I can't go back with him. I love Chat noir and if things don't work out I have luka. I sighed "Adrien I can't. This is over. We'll never get back together. I love somebody else." I cried. This was hard because I do love Adrien, but this is the best for me. "I've been meaning to tell you Adrien that I'm sorry and I love you so much." I smiled sadly. He cried. "Mari, please. I love you more." He grabbed my hand and I pulled away and ran off.

"I'm begging for her because there is no way she'll be able to get with chat noir. It'll be way easier if I just told her. Unfortunately for me, I can't. I love Marinette and I don't want luka to have her." Adrien thought looking at me running from him in the distance.
