Unsurprisingly, 'Not Livvie' didn't take me up on my offer of joining me in my bedroom.

Honestly, I'm glad about that. I respect her more for it.

It also, annoyingly, makes me want her more.

Over the next two weeks, I don't see her at all. She doesn't seem to work in the Sainsbury's Local when I shop there.

Just when I begin to think I've imagined up the pretty, curvy brunette with dimples, I see her again. At work.

I'm queuing with my shopping when I see her serving the girl in front of me. It's not that busy today.

The moment she sees me, I watch her look me over.

It's mid September, still warm out, I'm in my gym gear. She notices.

"Alright?" I smirk as I unload my basket at the checkout.

"Hello." she sounds bored but I think she's a little affected by me. Good.

"How the shithead boyfriend?" I can't help myself. I keep the tone light.

"Still my shithead boyfriend." she mutters not looking up as she scans and talks. I see her bite her lip a little, just a quick movement, then dropped again.

"Why you with him if he's a shithead?" I'm confused why she'd be with someone who doesn't make her happy? I can't help myself stop from asking.

"That's £10.98." she tells me bluntly. The look in her eyes isn't friendly anymore.

I nod and pay contactless.

She pushes the bag to me. I didn't ask for one, guess she can see I don't have one.

I pack in silence.

She just watches. I think she expects me to talk. I don't know what to say. Not without holding the queue up, anyway.

"Bye Livvie." I wink. She's still not got a name badge on.

"Bye Kent." she looks away as she says it.

I'm sure she's interested in me.

She remembers my name from nearly 3 weeks ago. Reading it once.

Good. It's a start. It'll take that.

I'm at my first shift in a new bar. I've bartended before, better places than this. But it's alright.

Better than my last job, it'll keep me busy, earn some money.

I'm doing alright, the guys I work with are alright, we all seem to keep ourselves to ourselves. The guy who's shadowing me left me alone after a bit, so I must be doing ok.

I'm making an old fashioned, handing it to the snob who ordered it. He's talking down to me. My biggest pet hate.

He taps his card to pay, I assess who's next to be served, who's waiting.

Oh alright. 'Not Livvie'. Her dark hair is different, slightly wavy, half pulled up out of the way, showing off her pretty face better. Beautiful.

She sits at the far end of the bar, my area, with a blonde girl.

I finish what I'm doing and casually make my way over to her.

This is my problem, I fall hard and fast. I barely know this girl, why am I so nervous?

"Evenin' ladies." I can't help my smirk as I approach the two of them.
