Psh. Today is yesterday’s tomorrow, and now, I look horrible. My face looks puffy and I don’t know what to do about it. I left all my face packs back in my hometown and it’s too early in the morning for the convenience store downstairs to be open. It couldn’t get anymore worse than this.
Trying to cheer myself up, I grabbed the hair straightener from my closet and started fixing up my hair. After a around 20 or so minutes, I finally got satisfied with the “straightness” of my hair. Then I pulled it up into a loose bun and started showering. Shaaaaaaa…..
After the nice hot shower I quickly got myself dressed and started prepping up my face. Putting toner then powder, and finally putting on some lip balm. I put on the only pink shirt I had and the usual denim. After eating a quick breakfast, I got my bag then expressed my thanks to the maids and told my grandma I’d be going. Going down I greeted the guards in the lobby good morning back and waited for the driver.
It’s still pretty early though, a little over 8:30am, I just hope that there won’t be any traffic or accidents. Getting into the car, I plugged my headset into my phone and put each bud in my ear. I scanned through my long selection of songs and picked one that suited my mood for the day—“Difficult Love- Twilight” It’s an OST from a Korean drama called “Rooftop prince”. It’s my most favorite drama, even though I’ve only watched two. I like Rooftop prince more than the other one which is “Queen In-hyeon’s Man” it’s also an awesome drama by the way. I just love how they portray things in Korean drama, it’s somehow more cute than the local dramas I see here in my country.
Aah.. I really want to meet him as soon as possible!
After getting down the car, I walked calmly towards the ground floor library. For some reason, the student government had thought of renaming it as “Librarium of the undead.” It was because of some rich kids whim and that rich kids parents having the money to rename the library into “Librarium of the undead” Then putting some more extra perks in it to make the reason a bit more valid. But unfortunately the insane name was not approved by the School of Arts and Sciences Chairperson. Thus, leaving them open-mouthed at the new not-so flimsy name “Yi Tae Mu Library” but no one really calls it that. They just call it SAS Library. SAS stands for School of Arts and Sciences. Some witty upperclassmen even thought of calling it just “Library” or “Ground-floor library” never thought of that before. Now enough of that confusing library history whatevers, we go back to the story…
Reaching the library, I caught sight of Kou in the campus garden. A rather large garden, I would say, but enough of that. I saw Kou walking briskly towards the other building. He chose the garden because it was the fastest route to get there. We caught sight of eachother but maybe he was too busy to even notice me. Maybe he was rushing to his class? Since he does after all have more complicated schedules than me, I guess I can’t really blame him. It’s like people who’re also taking the same course as him have more advanced privileges and subjects. Having those nicer privileges is accompanied by the different and harder difficulty in classes.
After the flurry of boredom I had in my face while sitting in my chemistry class, I was finally energized when I went to the next class we had. Why? Because I’m going to be having my next class in another building which gives me the chance to scour the perimeter a bit, to see if he’s anywhere near. But sadly, I reached the building without ever seeing him.
We got to the 5th floor quickly. We all went in the same elevator towards the floor. You can’t imagine how much awkwardness and genuine laughter was shared because we felt like sardines. Imagine fitting more than 30 people into one elevator and let them get to the 5th floor while also receiving a few more additional people who want to get the higher floors but don’t want to get tired by using the globdamn stairs. Once we got to the assigned room, there were already people there. We round up into a big clump of people in the hallway, discussing whether we really are in that room instead of the other. The other people had their own schedules with them and they insist that they be in the other room. I never expected for our block to be separated. I kept whining about it in the hallway. I caught a side glance of him for a short moment. With that, I immediately began to stutter a bit. Trying to calm myself down by looking more at my blockmates and friends than him. When I tried to look again, he was already looking at me. Just standing there while looking at me. Why. Oh. WHY.
Even though I know that we’re just friends and that he only sees me as a friend, I still get some feeling that he could somehow like me back. But I’m guessing that that is impossible. I know it can’t be true. It always has. None of the people that I have liked ever returned them. I should really stop being like this.
