Sky Lanterns

By the gates

Walking up to the entrance of the school after just getting out of the car, I saw a familiar guy with curly hair. Hn. He sort of looks like a Korean idol… I walk up to the gates and then this familiar looking guy suddenly calls out in my direction. Is he calling me? I wonder. I try to turn around and look for other people he might be calling to, but no one was there except for me.

I heard footsteps getting nearer and nearer to me. What’s this? As I looked up I saw him right in front of me. I got so overwhelmed that I didn’t know what to do. My eyes almost went out of their sockets once I got a good look of who was in front of me. “U-umm, excuse me… but, do I… know… you…?” I asked tentatively.

“Ahaha! Rika-chaaaaan!! Don’t you remember me?”

“Eh?” I tried to search it up in mind, who is this guy? Wait. “Oh. OH! You’re… Yukkin! Right?” I asked with a bright smile.

“Yup!” He answered back cheerfully.

“Yes!  Got it right! Ahahaha! This is so great!” I exclaimed my happiness.

“Ah, oh. You wanna get inside now?” Yukkin gestured to the entrance to the lobby of the school building.

“Ah, yeah! Sure.” I walked up with him walking beside me. Oh Good Lord! I think I might just swoon!

“What’s your first class Rika-chan?” He asked cutely.

“Ummm around 9am. There’s still a few minutes left. Wanna hang out before I go inside my classroom?”

“Uh, yeah! Sure! Let’s go, where’s your classroom by the way?” He questioned with interest.

“In the communications building, 5th floor.” I said with a slightly impassive voice

“Hn, alright. Let’s go!” He replied cheerfully.

We kept talking for a while till it was finally time for my class. He asked me for the rest of my schedule. When I asked him why, he just smiled at me and then he took a picture of my schedule. This guy is so weird.
