Late May 1991

"As a Stand, we need to know what exactly Holy Roller is capable of." Jotaro had said to Gwen. She was back in Japan over the summer because she was taking a summer college course to get ahead of the game... And also because it's where Jotaro is...

They stood in the Kujo family estate's dojo that Jotaro had set up as a gym full of weights, exercise machines, and various punching bags. He had to keep that nice, sculpted body up somehow. Gwen stood at the edge of a large mat taped out for wrestling with her hands on her hips and watching Jotaro—who was busy moving various dumbbells and weights—taking in the view. This was the first time she'd seen him out of his black pants and in a pair of exercise shorts and loose tank top.

'Hot damn.' She thought to herself with a mischievous grin. 'Why does he keep such a nice ass hidden under that huge coat and slacks? And why does wear that stupid coat all the time anyways? Take some pride in the genes you were born with.' She felt her face get warm as she bit her lip.

'Good questions.' Holy Roller laughed as she manifested behind her shoulder.

"This isn't going to be training for you or me, but more of a test for Roller and Star. We're going to be pretty hands-off." Jotaro explained as he turned back around to look at her. "What?"

"Oh, nothing." Her grin grew. "I'm just enjoying the nice meat feast you're putting out for me." She didn't get much reaction out of him except for red ears and cheeks, which was more than enough to humor her.

"Well, you're a pretty good looking snack yourself." He grinned darkly and gave her a small peck on the cheek after coming to stand next to her on the edge of the mat. "Anyways, this'll be between the Stands. You shouldn't have to do too much, just be prepared to feel anything that she misses." He continued, seeming to immediately forget the flirt, except for the fact that his ears were still rosy. He was too cute.

Holy Roller floated out to the center of the floor, not exactly nervous, but not entirely confident either. From what Star and Jotaro had told her and Gwen, Star Platinum was not a Stand to mess with. She didn't think that he'd intentionally hurt her, but it was still intimidating to be in a fighting position with him, even if it was in a training environment. Star manifested beside Jotaro and made his way onto the mat, a completely different aura resonating from him—his usual warm, bubbly self seemed distant and was replaced by something much colder and serious. It was like she was looking at an altogether opposite being.

'You don't have to be afraid', Star said as he stopped even with her, his voice steeled. Roller had never seen him like this, and it was terrifying. 'I just want you to give what you got.'

"Roller, he's not gonna hurt you. This is more for observation than anything, I want to see what you can do and how you do it." Jotaro interjected from the edge of the mat, her body language obviously spoke for her. "Trust him."

'B-but I don't want to hurt you.' She was hesitant and scared, but still put her fists up.

'You won't hurt me, I promise.' His voice took a warmer tone as his face softened with a small smile, which gave her a bit of a boost of confidence. 'I've taken much worse abuse.'

'Okay...' Roller squared her shoulders and widened her stance, hardening her face even though that nervousness was still there. Star mirrored her positioning, his face going hard again.

'I want you to punch me as hard as you can.' He said as he put his arms in front of his face to guard. She hesitated, still not wanting to hit him. She glanced over at Gwen for reassurance who gave her a nod, even though she could feel her anxiety. Roller took in a deep breath, swallowed the nervousness, and swung a right hook at Star's ribs. It was like hitting a thinly padded concrete wall—her knuckles cracked, and joints jarred all the way up her arm. The only reaction out of Star was a grunt and a sharp sigh. 'Again.'
