Phoenix (A James Bond fanfiction)

Chapter 5

Sky awoke the next morning, leaning on a sleeping Bond. She gently got out of bed and dressed in a translucent white blouse and a midi black skirt. She encassed her lips with red lipstick and put on mascara and eyeliner.

She left Bond a note saying she was going to work and to call the office if there was any trouble.

The walk to Phoenix Inc. was a short one. It consisted of a scenic route of the river that ran through Paris.

Sky got to Phoenix's office and knocked on the door. He called her to enter.

"Your going to be working in the finance sector Miss Waters" Phoenix told Sky "I hope you don't mind. Your exceptional at mathmatics and I need the finance to be kept up to date with my latest investments"

"I don't mind sir. Im thankful I recieved a job" Replied Sky

Phoenix buzzed the intercom "Hannah. Send in Marsh"

After a few moments, there came a knock on the door. A man introduced as Marsh

"Head of Finance. Nice to meet you Miss" He prompted

"Waters. Christina Waters. Pleased to meet you sir"

"Let me show you around"

Marsh showed Sky the 4th, 5th and 6th floor. When they were in the elevator Sky asked "Whats down on the 3rd floor?"

Marsh looked at her "Nothing to concern us finance workers"

"So you dont know whats down there?" Sky asked

"No. But Ive heard rumours"

"What rumours?"

"They they have secret storage facilities below. They store dangerous products and chemicals"

"Shall-"

"No" Marsh stopped her. "Let me take you to your desk"

Sky's desk was next to Marsh's. She was second in charge. Her job was to look over the finances of the industry.

At around 5pm, Sky made to leave when she saw Marsh being spoken to by two men in black. He looked terrified and Sky wanted to know why. Acting as if she didnt know what was going on she strode over to Marsh

"Sir. May I speak with you?"

"Not right now Miss Waters" Marsh said

"Please sir, its urgent"

"The man said no. Get lost" Growled one of the men

"Thats no way to speak to me, who do you think you are?!" Reared Sky

"Get lost before I break that pretty face of yours" Growled the second man

"That is no way to speak to a lady" Shouted Phoenix. "Get out of my sight now"

The two men walked off. Leaving a fragile Marsh and an annoyed Sky. "I am so sorry Miss Waters. Those two men keep coming up here, I have no idea who they are"

"You should get your security checked out mr Phoenix. Good evening"

Sky walked out of the office and made for the lift. She contemplated pressing the button to command the lift to go to floor 3 but thought better of it. She walked out of the office building and noticed that the two men dressed in black were watching her from a distance.
