Olivia slowly opened her eyes as the sun's rays danced on her face. New York was beautiful in the light of the rising sun. She stretched and sat up, bringing her knees to her chest.
"It's a new day Olivia..." she said out loud.
Lifting herself off the bed, she moved around the spacious bedroom and opened the beautiful cream curtains then headed into the bathroom to clean up. She brushed her teeth then stripped and got into the black marble shower box. Taking a look at the various nozzles, she turned one and a blast of warm water fired at her. She sighed in content and began to wash off.
Once she had completed all cleaning rituals, she stepped into a fluffy white bathrobe with a towel wrapped around her head and moved to the kitchen. Everywhere was still dark despite the risen sun outside so she pulled open the curtains and flipped on light switches. Looking at her apartment in the light of the sun, she once again felt a sense of pride to be the proud owner. She picked up the remote and put on the plasma TV that hung on the wall above the fire place and tuned to the news station.
She had classes today although they were meant to begin later in the day. She took a glance at the grandfather clock and saw it was 7:10am. She still had about two hours before she needed to be on her way. Therefore, humming a tune, she set to the task of making pancakes.
"In other news, celebrity and recently released ex-convict, Justin Bieber, who left Miami yesterday after being released from prison where he was serving for charges against him, arrived in New York city in the early hours of the morning around 1:15am. It seems the young man and his crew were trying to sneak in to avoid being noticed by the paparazzi and outraged beliebers across the world. He cannot go to his LA home as the property is surrounded by rebelling believers and a host of paparazzi are there to cover the event. No one knows exactly where Mr Bieber is now although it is certain he is hiding somewhere in the city. We'll be right back with more news after the break."
