The Reception

Carlisle slowly but gracefully pulled you back into warm embrace and he grab your hand. Then you walked back down the aisle heading to the reception.

Carlisle whispered into your ear “Are you ready for our first dance.”

You replied “Of course we did take those classes together.”

You and Carlisle arrived at the ballroom we you picked the reception to be held. The room was mixed with light blues and purples. There was a band on the stage in the corner of the room which consisted of a quartet of string players, the best brass player, the best singer you can think of, and finally Edward who will be on and off stage. Everyone started to crowd around the dance floor but leaving a path way for you and Carlisle to walk through to have your first dance. Carlisle leads you through the small tunnel of people to the sparkling dance floor where he takes your hand and you put your hand on your hip. Then as if on cue the music stayed playing and the song you guys choose together was “Only Exception” by Paramore. You guys choose this song because it was one of the first song you guys heard when you had your first kiss the 20th century.

As you and Carlisle dancing gracefully all over the dance floor not a care in the world just enjoying being in each other’s embrace. As you look into his golden orbs and he stares into yours and you can just enjoy the feeling of being in the other’s arms together. You look around the room quickly and you can see all of your loved ones standing next to the significant others, but then you listening to the music and you release that your song and first dance just came to an end.

“Honey let’s sit down for a moment and watch the others dance for a song okay” Carlisle said.

“Sure” you replied.

Carlisle grabbed you hand and walked you over too were you and him will be sitting when the speeches are being given. As you sit down you realize that there is a pair of flats on the floor and you switch from your heels to the flats and you automatically relies that Alice knows how much you detest heels and she must have left these here for you.

“Even though she is a shopaholic you know that she is really helpful when you least expect it or when it comes to clothes and shopping” Carlisle said.

“That’s why we love her just the way she is” you said.

“Well darling I think it’s time for us to go back out there and dance and you have to go dance with everyone” Carlisle spoke.

You went back out on the dance floor with Carlisle and you started dancing again, but then you felt a tap on your should and you looked back and saw that it was Edward.

“May I cut in” he said.

“Sure” Carlisle said.

Edward took you by the hand and started twirling you around, then the waltz started playing and waltzing has always been Edward’s favorite type of dancing.

“Are you enjoying you reception” asked Edward

“Of course having all of the people we cherish around us having a fantastic time is amazing” you said.

“Well it seems like our dance is over” Edward said.

That’s when you felt the tap on your shoulder again and this time it was Emmett. About three hours of dancing with basically all of the men.

Now it’s time for the Speeches.
