Atsushi as Norman from TPN

Mama

All heads had snapped back towards the door that had been flung open for the fourth time that day. But with the appearance of the person at the door made the three old friends pale drastically. There stood a woman with long dark black hair pulled up into a bun. Even though she wasn't wearing a maid-like outfit anymore, the three could recognize her anywhere.

"Mama" They all breathed out.

Everyone's heads snapped towards them in confusion.

"Mama?" Kunikida asked, extremely confused. "Atsushi what the hell are you talking about?"

"What the hell do you want?!" Ray spat angrily at the woman.

"Now now, that's no way to talk to your mother now is it?" Isabella asked, taking a step forward.

The three stepped back when she approached. Everyone in the building could see the fear in the three's eyes.

"I'm going to have to ask you to leave since it's quite obvious that you are making one of our member's and two of our guests quite uncomfortable" Dazai told the woman. (This isn't canon. Norman got shipped off to Lamda and then ran away. But once he reached the human side of the world he was thrown into the orphanage in BSD canon until he got kicked out. When everyone escaped they took the younger kids with them because it wasn't as much of a journey to the hum side as in canon. A lot of the stuff in the woods never happened and Isabella never took their side and protected them because that event never happened. That is all.)

"Norman, Ray, Emma, come with me please." She asked, looking towards the three.

"N-no way!" Atsushi said, internally cursing the stutter.

"Atsushi, how do you know this woman?" Kyoka asked her friend.

"She raised me. I was happy for a long time, but that's because she had been lying to me. She lied to all of us our entire lives."

"Norman, please, it wasn't as dramatic as your making it out to be" She said in a sugar sweet tone, but there was something sinister in her eyes.

"What the hell!!" Ray yelled.

"'Not as dramatic'?! Are you kidding me?!" Emma followed up.

Atsushi's fists were balled up and he looked very angry. He snapped his head up to face Isabella with rage in his eyes. "HOW DARE YOU!" He yelled. Everyone was surprised by his outburst. "YOU CONSTANTLY PUSHED RAY AROUND WHEN HE WAS WORKING FOR YOU! YOU BROKE EMMA'S LEG AND THREATENED TO KILL HER! YOU SHIPPED ME OFF TO LAMBDA AND HAVE SENT A COUNTLESS AMOUNT OF OUR SIBLINGS TO THEIR DEATHS!" He yelled at her with tears rolling down his face.

"Wait..." Emma said. "She-" Emma froze up. "Oh my god. She sent you to Lambda?!" Emma said with pain in her eyes. (Let's just say they know about what happened there.)

"That's why I'm not dead." Atsushi said, wiping his tears.

The ADA, Akutagawa, and Chuuya seemed to unfreeze all at once. A million questions seemed to come at the weretiger all at once. He held up his hand for silence.

"I'll explain, but please get her out of here." He said, gesturing to Isabella.

Yosano started to walk towards her but she spoke. "No need" Isabella said, walking to the door. "But before I go, please know...I'm so very sorry my dear children, so very sorry." She then walked out of the agency without another word.

"Okay. Explain, now." Ranpo demanded.

Atsushi sighed and then proceeded to explain everything that happened at Grace Field.

Everyone stood speechless, staring at the three escapees.

"Okay, but what about Lambda? It must be pretty bad with the way Emma reacted" Chuuya piped in.

The three went silent for a but before Atsushi let out a shaky breath. "You know how I said that we were sold as meat when we got adopted?" He asked.

Everyone nodded their heads while Emma got up and walked into another room. Atsushi nodded to Ray, who then got up to make sure she was alright.

"Lambda is a place where kids are sent if the moms believe they will be useful there. The demons use the kids there for tests and experiments to make the meat taste better." He was shaking slightly, as the memories came back to him. "I was one of the lucky ones there. I only got used for tests. The people who get experimented on have it worse. I know people who just don't come out of those rooms right."

Akutagawa saw him starting to shake more violently. He wasn't really good and comforting people, but he wanted to try, so he walked over and gave him a hug. This calmed Atsushi down a bit while everyone processed the information.

"Oh my god" Dazai said, covering his mouth.

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that Atsushi..." Kunikida said, his voice full of remorse.

"Thank you, but the past is the past. There's nothing I can do about it now. Besides, it's not like it's your fault or anything." He said softly, mustering up a small smile.

"Yeah, I guess so..." Kyoka said, but trailed off and looked out into space.
