N O B O D Y (pov if your new to my books)

The two boys sat in the silent classroom, attempting to do the math paper in front of them. Jeongin was struggling to stay focused on the paper, getting distracted in his own thoughts of the older.

Hyunjin looked back at the boy, checking on him as he does regularly. He noticed the younger zoning out and quietly cleared his throat, catching the younger's attention quickly.

The younger hated struggling with his work, normally he could get through it without too many diversions, but days liek today made him much more alert.

He gave the older boy a distressed look, silently asking for help with his eyes. The older understood immediately, beggining to tap a small consistent best on his desk with his fingers on his open hand.

The younger took a deep breath, focusing on the very quiet but helpful tapping. It was a steady beat, never changing, almost like a heartbeat of a sleeping person. Or at least that was what Jeongin associated it with.

When Jeongin was particularly inattentive in serious situations the older would grab his hand and let him hold his wrist, feeling the soft pulse to calm his nerves.

Jeongin didn't know what he would do without the older boy. He couldn't function properly without his help.

The boy finished his paper quickly, focusing on the tapping rather than every small noise from the room or hall. He smiled proudly when he checked over his answers, all being correctly done.

The older glanced back and smiled contently as he saw Jeongin's paper completed and the boy smoky brightly to himself. The older stared in adoration, wondering how the boy could be so cute.

Eventually the class had ended the two boys meeting in the halls to talk among themselves and walk to their next class.

"Thank you, I don't know why it's really bad again." He frowned.

"Hey, it's ok. It happens but I'll always be here to help you through it." He smiled down at the younger, wrapping his arm around his shoulders protectively, making the younger giggle.

"Ya know hyung, it's been 9 years since we met and you still walk around holding me like this." He smiled at the fond memories.

He still remembers it like it had just happened. The two young boys sitting in a classroom together. They were at small desks doing multiplication tables. The younger had been struggling to focus and remember the answers, too caught up in listening to tiny feet tapping and pencils writing on paper loudly.

The older had noticed that when he began to hum a very soft tune the younger visibly relaxed beginning to function better and do his math.

"Hey, I helped you focus!" He smiled brightly as he spoke quietly.

"Hmm?" The younger looked up with big eyes.

"You couldn't do your times table until I started humming! You might have adhd!"

"What's that?" The boy began to worry if he was dying as his 3rd grader instincts kicked in.

"It's where you can't stay focused and get distracted easily! My mom used to have it and my dad always hums or taps things to help her focus on things!"

"Is it bad?"

"No, it's normal! Lots a people have it!"

"Is it safe?"

"Mhm!"

"Does it mean I'm stupid?"

"No, you just struggled to pay attention sometimes! You can be really smart with it!"

The two were released for lunch and the older swung his arm around the younger boys shoulders.

"Your my best friend now! And I'll always help you when you can't focus! I promise!"

"Yeah, I guess I have always done this, but I kept my promise didn't I?"

"You did, I don't think I'd be alive right now without you!" He said with slight sarcasm.
