Intro

Before Chief Wallace Boden's current marriage, he married a young woman named Jane Irwin. They were high school sweethearts. At the ages of 23 and 24, they found out they were pregnant. A little baby girl was soon to make an appearance. Halfway through the pregnancy, Jane found out that she had a disease called placenta previa. Where she could bleed out at any given moment and die. Jane took all the extra precautions and more, hoping to meet her baby girl. At 34 weeks, Jane woke up one night, blood everywhere. It looked like someone had been murdered. As her husband was at work she called an ambulance. Rushed into surgery Jane knew she wouldn't make it. She had bled too much to survive. Jane's last words were, "tell my husband that I love him and that he meant the world to me. Then to my baby girl, my sweet baby, tell her that she will rule the world if she wants to because I will be right here. Tell them I loved them until I died." On May 18, Wallace Boden lost his wife but gained his daughter, Phoenix Jean Boden. Growing up Phoenix was hidden from everyone. Wallace didn't want to take the chance of losing her. The only people who knew about Phoenix Boden were Hank Voight, Sharon Goodwin, and Benny Severide. Because of such a demanding job Wallace needed people in his corner to help raise Phoenix. As a young kid, Phoenix would run the house with Kelly, Benny Severide's son. At 18 Phoenix enlisted in the marines. When deployed to Italy, Phoenix met who she thought she would spend the rest of her life with. Phoenix got pregnant at 23 years old. Phoenix had a healthy pregnancy with her own little girl. On June 28, 39 weeks pregnant, Phoenix gave birth to Everlyn Jane Boden. Born on her grandmother's birthday Evie was a special baby to her mother and grandfather. When Evie was 6 months old, her father was killed in a car accident. Phoenix decides to leave the military and come home. What happens when she shows up at the firehouse and still nobody knows about her?
