"I still can't believe you guys agreed to go laser tagging knowing how good I am at this." I said as we all pulled the money from our pockets and slid it across the desk to the worker. He counted the money and inserted it into the cash register.
"Jimmy!" He yelled to a guy in the back.
"Yes, boss?" A tall blonde, blue eyed guy walked out.
I looked over at Hannah and we both simultaneously went "Damnnn." Zach and Brent gave each other looks and one went "ahem".
"We have customers," the guy behind the counter said.
"Great! Come with me guys." Jimmy said.
We followed him into the training room, he announced the rules, and asked if we had already picked teams.
"I guess we could go with boys vs. girls?" Zach suggested.
We all agreed accept for Benny.
"I wanna be on sissy's team!" He cried.
"Okay buddy that's fine!" Hannah told him.
"Oh no we're losing our best player!" Brent whined. God I love him.
"I'm sowwy Bwent. Don't be mad at me!"
"I'm not bud. But we're gonna lose without you." Brent told him.
Benny fist pumped Brent and ran over to me and Han.
Jimmy told us to assemble our teams, choose a leader, pick which color we wanted, and suit up.
Obviously I was our teams leader, but the boys voted on Brent. Oh great.
So the teams were for the boys; Brent, Zach, Lee, and Jake
And for the girls it is, Me, Hannah, Nikki, Jules, and Benny
They had four colors we could pick from all neon, green, orange, yellow, and pink. We let Benny pick our color, he chose green. The boys picked orange. Jimmy got his co-worker Allie to help out the boys and he came and directed us to our changing room. He showed us how to properly put on the equipment and use the guns. He took us out to our base before leaving us on our own. A voice came over the intercom "hello players, you have five minutes before the game will start remember the rules and play safe." I immediately took charge. "Okay guys we need to mix it up. We know Brent's gonna make Jake stay at the base, so Julia that means you are to attack the base."
"Why me?" She asked. I gave her a look and explained, "because he likes you, you go up to get to the base you can sneak passed him or get him to let you get through." She nodded.
"They're going to expect Benny to stay here so that's just what we are gonna do with him."
"I thought you said we were going to mix it up?" Nikki asked.
"I did. They are going to expect Benny to stay here, with one of us. But he will be the only one here. Strategy, leave him by himself the cutest one, maybe get them to go easy."
"But sissy I don't wanna be by myself" Benny whined.
"Shh buddy I was getting there. So they are going to expect me to be out there fighting, but instead I'll hang back and lie low. I'm going to hide back by this corner over here." I pointed to a crease in the walling. "So Benny you won't be alone, you'll have me but I'll be hiding so that when they see you and shoot you they won't think I'll be right there."
Hannah said, "okay but what about me and Nicole?"
"You guys are going to be jules' back up, if she gets shot out one of you moves in. The other lies back a bit and shoots everyone that comes. The key to our success will be camouflage so we need to do what we can with what we have to camouflage ourselves. Be quiet, lie low, hide, and shoot shoot shoot."
Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.
"Hands in everyone... Green on three."
We all said together; "one two three green!" And got in ready positions. The voice on the intercom came back, "good afternoon ladies and gentlemen let the games begin."
