The clouds were rolling in quick, it was a full moon tonight. Two men were walking hand in hand up the street in silence, just enjoying each other's company.
The dark haired man looked up at the sky, seeing the full moon hide behind the clouds. "Alex?"
The bearded man hummed in reply.
"I have to tell you something..."
"What is it mate?" They stopped. Alex saw Ross frown, a slight sadness in his eyes. "Ross? What's wrong? Are you ok?"
"It's just there's something wrong with me...."
"Ross, mate, what could possibly wrong with?" Alex smiled reassuringly.
"I'm...... different...."
"You're different because you're special." Alex pulled Ross into a hug whilst Ross muzzled his shoulder.
"Thanks but... different in a bad way..." Ross spoke into the bearded man's shoulder.
"You're perfect, just the way you are."
"So fucking cheesy..."
"C'mon, let's go home."
"Sure....."
They carried on walking hand in hand to their apartment. When they arrived they went straight to bed, both tired from their night out. Their quiet slumber was disrupted when Ross groaned in pain, he jumped up clutching his head. He crept out of the bedroom as quietly as possible as not to wake Alex, who was snoring quietly.
Ross ran to the bathroom to look for some pain killers to ease is throbbing head. He swallowed practically the whole bottle, only making the pain worse. The dark haired man leaned over the sink, biting his lip hard enough to draw blood to stop himself from screaming. He looked into the mirror, blood dribbling from the corner of his mouth, his eyes were bloodshot and he was sweating a lot. Ross doubled over in pain as he could feel a sharp pain in his stomach. Without thinking, Ross grabbed the nearest bottle of pills, hoping they were pain killers even though he had already had finished all of them. The pills he swallowed were sleeping pills, making matters worse. Drowsily, Ross made his way to the window, staring up at the night sky. He watched the clouds tumble around in the sky, exposing the full moons light to Ross' face.
Ross screamed in pain, waking Alex up suddenly. He followed the source of the scream, finding Ross curled up in pain on the bathroom floor. He noticed the empty bottles of pills, or lack there of, on the floor. "Shit! Ross, look at my. I'm going to call an ambulance ok?"
"No..." Ross said through gritted teeth.
Alex hoisted Ross up and walked him into the living room, setting him carefully down on the burgundy sofa.
"Ross, baby, stay awake... I'm gonna call 999, I have to."
"Stop. Know." Ross yelled through gritted teeth.
"Ross, I hav--" Alex was stopped when Ross shoved him back. Alex fell to the ground with a thud, looking worryingly at Ross.
"I.. um... have to go..." Ross mumbled as he pulled his superdry hoodie over his head and walked out the front door, slamming it behind him. Before Alex followed in his boyfriend, he called the police.
Ross trudged down the stairs, clutching his chest in pain. He could hear dogs barking through some of the apartments doors, only adding to his searing headache. When he reached the entrance of the apartment block he doubled over in pain. The moon was shining bright upon him, making him howl out in pain as his bones contorted into horrific positions. His nose elongated to that of a dogs snout and long claws ripped through Ross' fingertips. Dark fur covered his body as his teeth grew, making blood dribble out of his mouth. After the end of his 'transformation', what was once Ross was now a giant black wolf with red glowing eyes.
