The day is bright and sunny, unusual for a winter's day in London.

Everyone is excited because it was "Mystery after gala night", as the papers said.

George Martin meets up with his co-manager, Brian Epstein.

They show each other letters about last night and one suspicious letter.

Dear Martin,

Just a brief reminder, my salary has not been paid! Send it care of the ghost, by return of the post.

P.T.O

No one likes a debtor, so it's better if my orders are obeyed.

"Who would have the gall to send this?" Brian ask.

"Someone with a puerile brain." Martin responds.

"These are both signed C.G."

"Who the hell is he?"

They think for a moment and say the answer at the same time.

"Cavern Ghost!" They said in unison.

"It's nothing short of shocking." Martin says.

"He is mocking our position!" Brian claims.

"In addition, he wants money."

"What a funny apparition!" Brian chuckles.

"To expect a large retainer, he is clearly quite insane!" Martin laughs.

George comes in the doors in a huff.

"Where is he?" He asks

"You mean Ivan?" Brian says.

"I mean Mr. McCartney. Where is he?"

"Well, how should we know?" Martin retorts.

"I want an answer! I take it that you sent me this note!" George holds up a note.

"What's all this nonsense?"

"Of course not!"

Brian's and Martin's voices overlap.

"Don't look at us!" Martin says.

"He's not with you then?" George asks.

"Of course not!"

"We're in the dark here."

Their voices overlap again.

"Sir don't argue." George tries to calm down the men.

"Isn't this the letter you wrote?" He waves the letter.

"And what is it that we were meant to have wrote?" Martin crosses his arms.

"Written." Martin corrects himself.

Brian takes the letter and starts reading it out loud.

Do not fear for Mr. McCartney. The angel of music has him under his wing. Make no attempt to see him again.

Martin uncrosses his arms, and everyone looks baffled.

"If you didn't write it, then who did?" George asks, concerned.

"Where is he?!" Ivan storms through the doors.

"What is it now?"

"I have your letter! A letter in which I rather resent!" He waves the letter in front of George's face.

"And did you send it?" Martin ask.

"Of course not!" George defends.

"You didn't send it?" Ivan asks this time.
