Angel
So there I am, a gun pointed at my head.
"I guess I should have expected this, shouldn't I?" I say, ashamed of my foolishness. Coming out unarmed was hardly a good idea. Jim smiles bitterly.
"I knew there was a spy somewhere within my organisation. I mean, it was bound to happen at some point. I'd hoped it was Atkins if I'm honest, he was a bit too good at his job just to be a common sniper. That's what I thought anyway but no, it was you." He takes a sharp breath. "And, d'you know what? I liked you, I really did, but now I have to kill you, because you betrayed me. Just goes to show, I suppose sentiment is not an advantage. I was so blinded by it that it never even crossed my mind that maybe it was you."

I don't shake, I'm not nervous - slightly pissed off maybe, but not nervous.
"Exactly, I understand." I assure him, in a voice calmer than any I have ever spoken in before. "You have kill me because... Sorry, what was your reason again?" I joke, knowing that nothing I can do will change the eventual outcome. "You just can't handle the fact that I work for the other side can you?"
"Be quiet." He orders, quietly like he doesn't want anyone to hear. "You know too much. How could anyone in their right mind possibly allow you to live? I know what you're thinking."  He puts on a high girly voice. "'Oh Jim, Jim! But you aren't exactly in your right mind are you?' Well give it a rest would you, I have to do this." His lips quivers and his hand shakes, whether in anger, fear or desperation I do not know but whatever it is I don't like it.

Suddenly his face changes, becoming a mask which is void of emotion.
"Goodbye my Angel, I love you." I see the first tear spill onto his cheek and then...
