"It is now 7:06." Mr Sweet said, looking down at his watch. "You have exactly eight hours and fifty-four minutes to think about why you're in here. You may not talk, or move from your seats." He glanced over at Eddie before throwing half a stack of paper on his desk and a pencil. "You, will not sleep." He passed papers and pencils to everyone else.
"Okay, we're going to try something new. You're going to write an essay, describing to me who you think you are. And," he looked over at Eddie, once more, "I mean essay. Not a single word repeated a thousand times. And you will not get up from your seats. Questions?"
"Yes," Eddie said, seriously. "Does Doctor Who know you've been raiding his wardrobe?"
"You'll get the answer to that one, next Saturday." Mr Sweet said as he left the room.
"Damn," he said quietly. "A cliffhanger."

"Na. Na na na. Na na na. Nananananana." Eddie started humming loudly to the tune of Back in Black.
"This is the worst day of my life." Amber sighed.
"Yeah," Mick turned around. "Can you shut up?"
Eddie smirked. "What did you do to get in here, anyways?"
Mick turned back around, shaking his head.
"Maybe we should just write our papers." Fabian spoke.
Mick ignored him, then turned back to Eddie again. "Just because you practically live here, doesn't give you the right to be an ass. Back off." He turned again.
Eddie's smirk stayed plastered to his face. "It's a free country."
"He's just doing it to annoy you!" Amber said, hitting Mick's arm. "Ignore it."
"You couldn't ignore me if you tried." Eddie looked straight at Amber.
"Why don't we close this door? We can't have Sweetie checking up on us every two minutes."
"The door's meant to stay open, Eddie." Fabian said.
"Yeah." Mick agreed. "And just shut up. There are four other people in this room who don't want to listen to your crap."
"Well done." Eddie slow clapped. "I knew you had to be smart to be a jock."
"I'm going to the bathroom." Mr Sweet walked into the library. "Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone." He walked down the hallway and left their sights.
Eddie stood up and walked briskly over to the open door.
"What are you doing?" Mick asked.
"Young man," Eddie turned in mock imitation of his father. "Have you finished your paper?" He pulled out the screw briskly from the door and held it up in triumph as the door swung shut.
