He gave me a small playful smile raising his hand on my thigh.

"I'm still here you know." Javi scoffs looking at his hand.

"Shut the fuck up" I scathe at him.

"We are just flying out in an hour."

"My family.." I whispered. Fuck, I was not going to cry in front of this lunatic.

"If you comply, you'll see them again.. with due time." Ares said with a shrug easily. He stopped at the red light and looked at me. He leaned in gave the side of my face a gentle kiss with my lipstick still all over both of us. "We will be fine." He said making small circles on my upper thigh with thumb.

"How do you lead a gun ring when you are so mentally unstable and emotionally all over the board?" I jabbed at him. Javi snapped his head to me suddenly with wide eyes.

"Don't test my patience Amrita. You won't like me angry at you."

"So this is the not angry you? Fuck I am so lucky." I spat at him as his fist connected with the passenger side window next to my head causing me to jump towards him in surprise.

"Take it as a warning." He said as the glass cracked around me. His fist began profusely bleeding as he gripped my face tightly between his hand. He leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on my lips and let me go, using his thumb to smear his blood across my lips. I looked at him bewildered as he turned back to the rode.

I leaned against the airplane window, flying first class again. I was so unbelievably sleepy. I was only back for 5 days and heading back to Italy. Ares sat to my left, finding every reason to accidentally touch me.

"You can sleep across my lap you know." He said with toothy smile as I looked wildly at him.

"Fuck. YOU." I announced as his eyes glazed over darkly. He grabbed me by the back of the neck roughly and kicked up the seat divider between us in our pod.

"Behave." He whispered into my ear before shoving my head into his chest.

"Fuck." I whispered as I slammed my nose into him hard. He positioned himself that he was now leaned against the window and I in between his legs with my head pressed against his chest. He pulled at a blanket across from us in the empty seat and threw it over us. His arms rest over the blanket clutching me and his head on my head. I looked down at his hands, noticing tattoos lining his fingers. "Silenzio" (silence) was written across the top of one hand. I shifted in his lap and looked up at him angrily. He was looking down at me with so much adoration in his darkened eyes. He moved his head to press his lips on mine as I moved away. He groaned at me disapprovingly and snapped my head back in with his hand before bringing down his lips to mine softly.

"You my sweetheart are my love. I need you. I want you. I know I sound crazy, but you will have everything you could ever want." He whispered into my lips. "Go to sleep before I put you to sleep by force" he threatened with a glint of anger in his eyes.

Back in Italy, shoved into a car with Ares. Alessandro and Javi entered the car as well whispering in Italian. I rolled my eyes as Alessandro looks at my eyes with a big smile.

"Welcome back sister-in-law".

"Oh Ales... you are the best" I said sweetly to him batting my eye lashes. I felt Ares grip tighten on my hips at my flirty commentary. I lean towards the window, placing my hand on it as we pass-through never-ending hills and winding roads.

"We're here." Ares announces as we pull up to a familiar place where we had our first run in. "Come" , he says as props the door open and pushed me out. "Soon you will beg to sit on my lap" he says with a small laugh, earning an eye roll from me. I grab my work laptop from him, our hands brushing slightly. I let him lead me to the massive iron doors of his home. It was gorgeous architecture. "I designed it with my brother." Ares says punching in numbers on a keypad as the doors open automatically. He has never spoken about his family I thought as the doors closed behind us. It was 9pm and a few people sat in the living room of his home. I stood behind Ares as he coughed. They turned towards us and immediately stood up.

"This is Amrita. Off limits." He said shortly. "Let me show you the bedroom." Ares said to me dryly pulling me down a long corridor. Upon opening the door, I notice white roses in a few vases.

"How?" I said squinting my eyes at my favorite flowers.

"I have my ways." He says taking off his coat and closing the door behind us. We were alone. The last time we were alone, he was acting bizarrely. He sits down on a chair in corner facing the window, pouring out whiskey. The smell all too familiar to me. He buries his head onto his hands and sits like that in silence for a few minutes.

"What the fuck.." I whisper just staring at him.

"You know this is wrong.." he said suddenly snapping his head up and looking out the window. "This is all wrong... you are.. you are supposed to be madly in love with me like I am for you.." he continues as he is now bouncing his knee up and down piously making the whiskey splash on the floor. "You." He turns to face me with a threatening finger to my face. "You are the problem."

"Me?" I sputter out half annoyed and confused.

"You should have never came.."

"It was a mistake.." I defended myself.

"The best and worst mistake you made" Ares finished laughing and slamming the whiskey down his throat before opening small bag of powder from his pocket, dipping his finger in it and sticking it to his gums. His eyes looked dark, so many emotions twirling at once. "You fight me. I like that. I love the way you say my name." He said sitting down once more studying me. "But you don't love me." He snapped again accusing, angrily looking straight at me.

"Ares.. I have known you for a total of 5 days" I said getting anxious now. What the fuck is up with his head right now I thought looking around the room at potential weapons.

"You should take your meds" I said softly reasoning with him. He could easily and did easily overpower me. I did not want to trigger him more when he was unstable presently.

"FUCK THE MEDICINE" he yelled suddenly, and I stepped back. "Don't run from me." He seethed out watching my calculated movements.

"I'm not.." I reasoned gently.

"Come. Sit on my... lap" he finished after a second.

"Ares." I said again taking a deep breath. "Let's get some rest yes?" I signal towards the bed. "It's been a long day." I continue moving towards the bed where I see a pill bottle.

"I said come here." He snaps.

"Only if you take the medicine." I continue to push gently. He looks at me with narrowed eyes as he watches me bend over to grab the bottle.

"Only if you let me have you. All of you." He says boldly.

He watches for my reaction as I sigh and stare blankly at him.

"When you are sober." I say through my teeth. I believe he was waiting for me to scream or cuss at him. His eyes soften slightly as he makes his way to me. His hand grabs mine gently bringing it to his face. Last time he did this, I punched him. He is testing me; I think as I caress his face softly.

"I love you." He says with a small smile before pulling me to bed. He lays down on his back and pulls me to his chest. I hesitantly allow him to wrap his arms around my body and hold me.

"I need to shower. We just got off the plane."

"I don't give a fuck."

"I'm not running away, fuck." I say softly as he laughs lowly.

"Where would you go love? My men have shoot to kill orders, they don't all know you yet." He spits out at me.

"Let me shower Ares. I will come right back." I say as he releases me. I grab my luggage and pull out pajamas. He leans on his elbows and watches me cautiously. I watched him back as he grabs a matchbox from his side dresser and lights a match. I squinted my eyes at him as he stares at the flame intently before sticking out his tongue and putting the fire out on it. "What the fuck.." I yell at him stalking over to him and grabbing the matches from his hand. "Are you cra.." I stop myself and slap my hand on my forehead. He wants me to call him crazy. He looks at me with amused eyes.
