Chapter Twelve
"Look, 25 miles to Washington D.C." Liam points at one of those signs on the freeway.
"I'm getting a weird feeling about this," I tell Liam.
"So am I," Kevin agrees.
I ignore the fact that Kevin agreed with me, that's when I think about it, the man saved my life along with Jessica. "What's the feeling you're getting?" I ask Kevin.
This takes Kevin by surprise saying I haven't said a word to him on the entire trip here. "It's just a gut wrenching feeling, I really can't explain it."
"What do you think will happen?" Jessica asked.
Liam yells, "Everyone hold on tightly!!" I turn around to see a horde of zombies marching at us in some cult like movements. Liam barely maneuvers around the freaks before finally he hits one. That's when the loudest pop I've ever heard occurs and we are spinning out finally breaking through the stone wall of the interstate. Below us is 30 feet to nothing but other cars. The truck just flips over landing on the top of the truck.
I look over at Jessica, Liam and Kevin the only people I have left and make a move to the door, I begin kicking it and kicking it to no luck. I look around tot see if there's another option. Strong hands grab me and throw me out the truck slamming me on the ground with a Desert Eagle up to my forehead.
"Let him go," Kevin puts Bills shotgun up to the back of this mans head.
"You pull your trigger you and all your friends die anyways," the man responds. "I needed to get your attention anyways. The names General, I run a sanctuary in Kentucky. I'd like to invite you there with me."
"Let my friend go and I'll think about it," Kevin says with such courage having almost 7 or 8 guns to his back.
General raises his hands up in the air before turning slowly around and grabbing the shotgun out of Kevin's hands and kicking Kevin in the nuts. "That's it, gather up there weapons and drag them to the Humvee."
I look over at them pulling Jessica and Liam out of the truck. When they pull Liam out of the truck, he's gushing blood out of his right thigh with a rod of some sort sticking out of it.
"Make sure this mother fucker doesn't die," General says.
That's when we are all snuffed and thrown into the back of a truck with our hands bound behind our backs.
Chapter Thirteen
I must've fallen asleep because when I open my eyes the stuff is off the face and we are at the White House.
"The White House?" Kevin says quietly.
"Fuck... it was there transmission," Liam says sadly. "I'm sorry y'all."
"It isn't your fault," Kevin says looking at Liam as if he was lying.
The truck abruptly stops sending all four of us to the face of the seats.
"Nikolai, bring the boy to my office," General screams.
The walk was miserable, what was more miserable was the time it took to watch everyone I cared about in this world walk the opposite direction.
I walk into the office and in chairs in the middle of the room are my brother Kellin and my mom.
"Mom, Kellin!!" I begin to cry.
"Toughen up crybaby ass bitch," Johnny Boy walks through the door.
"Shut the fuck up," General tells Johnny Boy.
