Delivery men filed in, looking as professional as they could. They did not speak, just did what they had to; leaving several boxes on the table, then getting back out as swiftly as they came in. Very professional.

The boardroom was now empty once more. Except for the two men inside, now with privacy to do whatever they wanted to. One sat at the end of the huge mahogany table while the other crossed his arms and paced along the gigantic glass window.

"You're so incompetent, so annoying and definitely impossible! I don't know why I have to work with someone like you, seriously, couldn't they do better?" Alexander said, his words sharp and harsh as they got out.

He was very irritated, there was a lot of pressure on his shoulders lately and he didn't have the time or the patience to spare at the moment. Everyone wanted a piece of him, apart from the things he had to deal with. Like this.

The person the words were directed at didn't even flinch. He wasn't particularly the most handsome guy out there but that didn't mean he wasn't easy on the eyes. His brown curly hair looked unkempt like it always did, falling to his deep green eyes, making him look like a clueless boy in the wrong setting. Even if he was older.

He irritated Alexander so much.

"Hey that's the same thing I said!" He replied. "I suck at this don't I? Trust me I tried to tell them but apparently it has to be me," he shrugged with a smile.

Alexander couldn't understand why it had to be this McClure in particular. He'd have settled for the younger one anytime. He looked more serious and more dedicated, like someone he could actually work with. Not this airhead who spent fortunes investing in everything that looked shiny in his eyes. 'Business moves' he called it.

Alexander watched him fiddle with a camera out of the many boxes sent as samples lying on the boardroom table. It was a Polaroid type, a yellow one, contrasting perfectly with the ambiance of the room.

This was the reason for his mood, the man before him had done it again. Spending huge sums of money on a whim, particularly whatever caught his fancy. Tying them to useless, excess weight. Something Alexander would have to fix later, like he always did.

"Why does it have to be you?" He asked in all honesty. He could try anything to change it, but it wouldn't work. It never did.

The laugh he heard in response was bitter. "Come on, you've got to put some effort into this, that's not romantic at all."

"I'll work something out," Alexander paced, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I'll settle for your brother, anyone else, I can't stand you."

"And I'm the incompetent one?" He laughed.

It was always so annoying that he always took everything as a joke. Never once had Alexander seen him serious or even try to take anything seriously. He lived in a world between the clouds, brushing off the harsh reality that was the world, a luxury Alexander has never been able to afford.

"Come here," the man said, walking towards him with arms stretched out wide.

Alexander froze right where he was, not understanding the situation. Not until he was in the other man's embrace, rendered speechless. He didn't move at all, only felt like a robot being offered warmth.

Couldn't he understand that he was really mad at him?

"Your tone is one thing, but you don't scare me asshole," the man said as he hugged him. The difference in their height couldn't be clearer as he wrapped his arms tighter around Alexander's waist. "You're so stiff, when was the last time someone gave you a hug?"

If it was possible for Alexander to freeze even more, he did.

"It's okay... it's okay..." the man said. Then remained silent as his face nuzzled Alexander's chest. He pressed a kiss to it.

"I'll be out of your hair soon, okay? But right after I give this one last chance.  I've decided, I'm going to start hitting on you for real. You better prepare yourself, Alexander darling."

Alexander's insides were on a rampage. The man's boldness was another one of the things he couldn't get over. How the fuck could someone be this carefree?

Everyone was afraid of him, everyone kept themselves in check around him. Apparently not this man. Never this man.

This was their first hug. His first hug. And he was twenty four.

It wasn't fair. Nobody told him so he wasn't prepared. Somebody should have told him it would be more intense than all the sex he'd had in his life up until that point.

"Okay now look at me," the man said, somewhat releasing him from his tight hold. And immediately Alexander complied, their lips were pressed together and he heard the 'click' sound of a camera.

Alexander had kissed numerous people before, but never once had anyone ever kissed him first.

The lips pulled away from his and his eyes fluttered open. He cleared his throat as embarrassment washed over him—another first.

Realizing he hadn't spoken for a while, he tried to say something; demand an explanation. "Wha-"

"Photography is sort of cool isn't it?" He was cut short. "I press a button here and a moment in time is trapped, forever bound to a piece of paper. It's like stealing the impossible, and I get to be the badass bandit."

His eyes were full of childish mischief as he extended the picture to show Alexander. He looked at himself kissing him, the person angling his face and reaching out, failing to be level with him. Anyone could have guessed he was on his tiptoes.

They looked... good.

He hadn't even realized his lapel had been pulled so passionately when the ordeal had happened.

"It looks fake," said Alexander.

The man studied him for a bit. "How many people have seen you blush before?" He was asked instead.

He couldn't answer correctly. Of course not. How was he supposed to admit that no one had been successful on that feat yet, and yet this man had somehow done it. "Fuck you."

The curly haired man smiled affectionately at him. "Of course darling. Our families need to know we can't keep it in our pants, even in the office. This is proof too." He held the picture up.

His smile turned naughty. And yet so adorable. "You're my lovely fiancé after all."
