chapter 9

[Chrollo's pov]

I just arrived in the city and moved into a small house in a quiet area. I need a place where I can peacefully make the best plan to kill Illumi without being bothered by stupid cars and sirens. I went inside and unpacked my stuff going straight to work. My initial idea was simple, invite Illumi at a sleepover and just kill him while he is asleep. If there's something I know about him is that when he is asleep nothing can wake him up. You can put a speaker next to him and play AC/DC at the loudest volume possible and he still won't wake up.

C: This is gonna be so easy and that's because the stupid actually trusts me. Lmao he thinks we're friends. No honey it's just a job I have to do.

[no one's pov, moving the focus back to Illumi and Hisoka]

Illumi and Hisoka were sitting on the couch cuddling like two little lovebirds. Illumi had his head on Hisoka's chest while the red hair's hand was running through his soft long black hair.

Everything was so perfect and cute but we all know sweet things don't last long. Illumi's phone started buzzing as the boy reached to the table to grab it. As he looked at the screen he froze in place and started shaking. He stared at his phone in shock as he felt himself start to panic.

H: What's wrong bunny?

Illumi just gave Hisoka his phone as the red hair also had a shocked look on his face as he saw the name of the person who was calling....'Dad'

H: Wait, wasn't Silva....yk...dead?

I: Can you answer for me please, I'm scared...

Hisoka nodded and held Illumi's hand tightly to help him calm down a little as he answered the phone.

H: Hello?

S: What the hell? Who are you, why do you have my son's phone? Wtf did you do to Illumi?

Illumi heard his father's voice as he quickly grabbed the phone putting it on speaker so they could both hear him and talk.

I: D-dad...?

S: Illumi wtf is this, you haven't been home for 2 days. Who the fuck is that bastard and what did he do to you?

I: Dad I'm fine, don't worry! But aren't you dead?

S: Wait, what do you mean dead? You know what, send me the address, I will come so we can talk, I'd very much like to understand what in the world in going on.

Illumi hung up, sent him the location and then he hugged Hisoka tightly. Hisoka rubbed his back gently and kissed his forhead to comfort him.

I: I'm scared, I don't understand what's going on anymore. And what if dad won't have a good reaction when I tell him about you?

Hisoka looked at him and smiled sweetly as he softly kissed him.

H: It's gonna be alright, don't worry. And I don't care if he likes it or not, I'm not letting you go, I promise. We promised that nothing will keep up apart.

The two were sitting on the couch as they heard a knock at the door. Hisoka got up to go and open the door as Illumi was kind of hiding behind him holding onto his arm. Hisoka opened the door as Silva kicked it open grabbing him by the neck tightly.

S: What the fuck did you do to my son, bastard?!

I: DAD STOP, LET HIM GO!

Silva let go of Hisoka as he quickly hugged Illumi. The boy stood there in shock, this was the first time his father has ever hugged him. As Silva let go of him he quickly went to Hisoka placing his hand on his cheek looking at him worriedly.

I: Are you alright, are you hurt?

H: I'm fine, don't worry bunny. But holy shit he has strong hands.

S: Ok, what the hell is going on in here?

I: Ummmm w-well h-he's my....ummm..b-bo-

H: I'm his boyfriend

Hisoka saw Illumi being really nervous so he wrapped his arm around him resting his chin on his shoulder.

S: Oh okay, but what's with the me being dead part?

They all took a seat on the couch as Illumi started to explain everything that happened, how he went home and found the body, then how he came here and Hisoka took care of him. The entire time he talked Hisoka held his hand gently rubbing it with his thumb to comfort him.

S: You're gonna stay here, don't go out and make sure to stay with Hisoka. From what you've told me I can understand that he is a much stronger nen user that you are and I trust him that he will protect you. I know only one person who can create such realistic illusions with his nen and he is very dangerous. He is almost as strong as I am.

I: Also I forgot to tell you that Chrollo called and he said he is moving here for school.

S: Yeah, about that friend of yours, I want you to stay away from him. I searched more about this nen user and it appears that Chrollo is his son. This guy wants to get rid of me and you so he can kill the entire Zoldyck family afterwards. I'm not saying that he asked Chrollo to kill you, but I have a bad feeling that that's his plan. So until things are clear, I need you to stay here and make sure nothing bad happens to you.

Illumi was shocked by what his father said, he couldn't believe it, but he realized his father would never joke about such things. He ended up agreeing to his words. It's not like he had a choice tho. Plus he was really happy that his dad trusted Hisoka.

Silva left after they finished talking because he had work things to do. The two were left alone, Illumi's mind was full of thoughts and he also seemed scared. Hisoka pulled him into a tight hug to comfort him.

H: Everything is gonna be okay bunny, I will protect you.
