23. Are you ok?

"Can you believe he said that?!" Taeil shrieked, and frowned when he saw Taeyong laugh once again. "It's not funny, it's serious!"

"S-sorry" Taeyong said, as he tried to hold in his laugh. "It's just, I didn't know Jeno was so hilarious"

Taeyong started laughing again, and Taeil was now really annoyed. He puffed his cheeks and folded his arms, and tried to glare at the younger boy. But it only made Taeyong laugh harder at how hard his hyung tried to look mean, but ended up looking cute. 

"But hyung, you should not think like that" Taeyong finally said, his smile turning upside down into a frown. He likes you, Taeyong thought to himself, but he could not tell Taeil this. It would spoil everything. 

"You've gotten so close with Doyoung over this time. I'm sure he won't think of you that way" Taeyong once again said, trying to encourage Taeil to think better about this situation. He knew that if he wanted, he could just tell Taeil right now that Doyoung liked him back. But he knew Taeil wouldn't believe him. 

"Whatever I don't wanna think about him" Taeil softly said, but Taeyong still heard the older. So he just nodded, and drifted the conversation to something else. The two talked for a while, and Taeil finally decided to go back home. It was around 4pm, and the two friends were hanging out at Taeyong's house after school. 

The older said his goodbyes, and was heading home. He pulled out his phone, and decided to listen to some music while walking home. Taeil hummed along, ignoring all his problems. But he could feel his thoughts drift back to a certain male. And that male being none other than Doyoung. He sighed, and tried focusing on his surroundings. Soon he reached home, and he happily ran up the stairs. When he reached the door, he remembered his and Jeno's conversation from morning. He blushed, as he reached out for the keys in his pocket, getting them out to open the door.

"I'm back.." Taeil yelled out, as he slowly opened the door. He was still shy about what happened today morning with his brother, as he didn't expect for that day to come. Taeil was confused, when he looked down to see unfamiliar shoes near the door. And as soon as the door fully opened, Taeil stood there, mouth wide open. He saw his brother awkwardly wave at him, and the person next to him smiled gently. But Taeil just stood at the door, not moving. His heart was racing, and head was filled with a million thoughts. 

What's he doing here?

Is he worried about me..?
No! Why would he be. 
He probably is mad I didn't come to work today...

"Hyung, come in" a voice broke Taeil's train of thoughts, and he looked up to see his brother signalling his to come inside. Taeil nodded, and slowly removed his shoes and stepped inside. 

"Sorry for suddenly coming here without a notice, but I was worried" Doyoung's soft voice filled Taeil's ears, only making his heart beat faster. Taeil nodded, as the colour red filled his cheeks. He sat beside Jeno, who was smirking at him. An awkward smirk, since he still knew Doyoung was here. 

"Well, I'm gonna leave" Jeno said, as he stood up. But he turned around to once again smirk at Taeil. "Water, hyung?"

"No, thanks" Taeil said, as he glared at the younger male. Jeno only winked, and quickly left to his room. Taeil then looked back at Doyoung, who once again smiled. 

"Oh, let me get you something to eat!" Taeil suddenly said, with eyes wide open. But when he was about to stand, Doyoung grabbed his hand, and pulled him back on the couch. 

"It's ok Taeil, I don't need anything" Doyoung said, looking at Taeil in a serious way. Taeil felt his heart flutter because of how the younger male was looking at him. "I just wanted to know if you were ok"

While the two male's were talking, Jeno slowly peeked through his door, quietly squealing at them. He took his phone out, and took a picture to show everyone else later. He shut his door, and jumped onto his bed. He opened his group chat, quickly wanted to tell everyone.
