Taeil nervously bit his lips, hands hovering over the door bell to the big mansion. He sighed, and finally touched the cold metal circle. He heard quick shuffling inside the house, and in about 30 seconds the door opened, revealing Doyoung with his eyes half closed. He was still in his pajams, hair all over the place. Taeil had to hold a laugh in when Doyoung stumbled and bowed, saying he didn't need any milk.
"Oh are you sure about that? I'm sure a hot cup of milk will do you right now" Taeil said, smiling. Doyoung's eyes shot open, and he shyly said he just woke up and thought it was the milk man. Doyoung called Taeil inside, shutting the door to block the cool morning air. Taeil headed towards the kitchen, and placed his things on one of the chairs.
"So what do you wanna have for a nice Saturday morning breakfast?" Taeil asked Doyoung, who was now sitting on one of the chairs near the kitchen counter. Doyoung looked like a little kid waiting for the food. Taeil found himself smiling over the younger as he reached up to get a bowl for making whatever Doyoung wanted.
"Hm, how about pancakes?" Doyoung said, and suddenly got up to stand behind Taeil. "I can help. I make the most amazing pancakes you know!"
Taeil chucked, but soon stopped when he turned behind and his eyes were met with soft lips in front of him. He hadn't realised Doyoung had gotten up and came behind Taeil. Taeil quickly backed up, muttering an apology under his breath. He then went towards the fridge where the pancake mix sat, quietly waiting to be eaten. While Taeil got out the mix, Doyoung felt his heart beat fast. Since he had seen Taeil standing outside his door, his heart didn't stop its quickening pace.
Taeil too couldn't stop his heart from beating fast. It almost felt like he was having a heart attack. But he was sure Doyoung would soon lead him to one if he kept surprising the older. He shook his head and took out the pancake mix, placing the box on the counter. He had also gotten a bottle of milk, keeping his words from before. Doyoung smiled when he saw Taeil pour hot milk in two cups, a blue and pink one. The blue was for Areum and the pink one was for Doyoung. When he first told Taeil that it was the other way round when he gave Doyoung the blue one, Taeil was more than shocked. But it only made the older love the tall male more, as he broke the obvious stereotype. Taeil found it more than adorable that a tough looking CEO like Doyoung loved the colour pink.
Soon the pancake mix was a water-like texture, and Taeil was pouring it on a pan, flipping them over. Areum came running down, yelling how much she loved pancakes. She ran into her fathers arms, giggling.
"Papa!!" Areum squealed, running to Taeil. He told her not to come close since the pan was dangerous, but she still jumped up and down, tugging at Taeil's pants. Taeil laughed, and pleadingly looked over at Doyoung, who quickly took over the job of flipping the pancakes. Taeil then bend down and took the young girl into his arms, hugging the air out of her. Even though it had been only a day, the two missed each other a lot.
"Papa I missed you so much" Areum said, as she hugged Taeil back with the same amount of energy. But failed as she still was a young child. But Taeil smiled at her attempt to hug him hard, and gave her a grateful smile. But it disappeared and his eyes widened when Doyoung almost screamed at Taeil to come back because he's burning most of the batter. Taeil laughed lightly and quickly got up from his bending position to go help Doyoung. The other two sat on the table, cups full of milk in their hands. They then watched Taeil put the 'not burned by Doyoung' pancakes on two plates and pour the sweet honey on top of it. And to top it off, he placed a few berries on the side of the plate. Doyoung and Areum gawked at the plate, and how Taeil made it look like a 5-star hotel dish. But they were just pancakes? After thanking Taeil for the meal, they started eating the dish, humming in pleasure.
"Taeil how do you cook so well?" Doyoung asked, mouth full of bits of the soft dish. Taeil laughed, and shrugged to answer. The three then sat on the table for some time, talking amongst themselves, enjoying the fresh Saturday morning.
